If this suggests a post-menopausal pensioner with multiple health issues not helped by smoking, who spends a lot of time in bed but tries to stay relevant through political action, and who occasionally makes an effort to smarten up ... well, you could get that from a quick look at my posts.

The fact I haven’t bought 10 things since January probably says a lot. Not a lot of spare money.
work clothes for new job (2 blouses, trousers, jacket)
shoes for DS
present for new baby

Creeperofhabit · 08/02/2024 06:56

Wireless Jabra headphones
White concealer (generic)
Burberry red lipstick
Avocados
Two 'Lost Consonents' books
Generic extra strong, thick dog lead
Gym membership for an old school weight lifters gym

That's not 10 but I can't think of any more. I'm not much of a consumer or at least like to think so.
I don't think it reveals my income.

Creeperofhabit · 08/02/2024 06:57

Very boring.

Garlickit · 08/02/2024 07:00

@Creeperofhabit, I splashed out on a pair of Jabra ear buds after wasting the same amount of money on useless cheap ones. I'd had Jabras before, and the new ones are great. You made a wise choice!

I wonder if the task was to list the last 10 things bought for self rather than house of family, that might be more revealing?
edited to make the sentences make sense!

Theyre great aren't they?! I only discovered them after my lovely manager at an old job ordered me some after I mentioned that perhaps it wasn't fair that, as night workers we had the cheap wired ones. It was an emergency MH helpline, we got one call every few hours and didn't need to be strung up chickens. Won't use anything else now! Buy cheap buy twice definitely applies with headphones IME! 🎧
