  • Skin cream for DM
  • Toothbrush heads for me
  • Toothbrush charing cable fo rme
  • Jewellery case for DSIL b'day

  • Coke Zero (multiple)
  • Pret coffee subscription
  • So many snacks
  • zyn nicotine pouches - terrible I know but really just helps me concentrate for longer
  • book “how to be perfec…t”

  • New coat
  • Jones Road wonder balm - a sign I’ll buy into anything that claims to make you look fresh faced and dewy

Not sure it shows income, but feels like a psychological analysis 🫣

JesusMaryAndJosephAndTheWeeDon · 07/02/2024 22:39

Oh god I dread to think what it reveals. Excluding food, petrol, and travel card I think it is:

  • alpaca wool wrist warmers
  • factory outlet bra
  • scamp and dude dress
  • an audiobook
  • Horse bedding
  • a night in a hotel
  • horse feed
  • iron tablets
  • theatre tickets
  • art gallery admission

@allquiettonight . I think it's the ref to a "cello" that gets people going, it nearly threw me too. Obviously if it were June I'd hardly be prioritizing bags of coal and firelighters...but super-interesting to see what some do spend fritter away money on.

Nice one OP.

Fluffy sleeping bag for DNeph birthday.

Float tank session because I've buggered up my neck at work.

Fancy pot noodles to take away at half term in case we're late arriving and the kids are starving.

A go on the M6 toll (£8.90!!!!!) to reduce my journey time by 10 minutes because I was knackered after work and had 250 miles to go.

2 nights in a budget hotel for a conference (but I should get it back, less tax of course🙄)

Otherwise groceries, after school club fees, swimming lessons

Hmm.

New school bag for DS as the zip on his old one burst
Blender for DD at university
Starbucks takeaway coffee
My lovely new washing machine (having been without one since November)
A reed for DS’s bassoon
A baby outfit and gift for a colleague who has had a new baby
New speed cube for DS
Next to nothing apart from that since Christmas as had no money left and needed to pay off self-assessment tax bill. I don’t think I can get to ten things without going back to Christmas stuff or counting regular shopping items. I am back to spending no extra money again after the above.

A tesco food shop, a book, a coffee and pastry, fish and chips, prescriptions, dentist's bill, craft bits and a valentine card.

Phone Case for Son
Kotlie Coffee Machine
Nivea Soft

Nothing particularly excessive, coffee machine was replacing a very well hammered Tassimo…. Probably reflects I don’t spend a lot on myself! I’m pretty savvy with my own personal small income.

  1. Ticket to British Library fantasy exhibit ( only so so)
  2. My HRT medication ( boring)
  3. Adidas shoes for DD on sale
  4. Nail clippers for me
  5. Loreal Eyeliner for me
  6. Wireless earphones for me as I lost one ( ordinary brand I can't remember)
  7. Ticket to Alan Cumming's one man show via seatfilller site so only £15
  8. Comedy night tickets for Dh and me plus a friend visiting
  9. 2 John Lewis bras for me

I think it says I value experiences over clothes/shoes/makeup as I haven't bought any clothes this year.
