How long would it take you to finish a bottle of wine?

DH is out and kids doing their own thing.
I opened a bottle of wine at 7pm - how long would it take you to polish it off...?

I'd struggle to finish in 2 nights. I usually do half a bottle on a Friday, a couple of small glasses sat and the dregs on Sunday. I could probably do it over the course of a whole day though if I started at lunchtime I just didn't think to try it!

2 nights - with DH. I just can’t do it any more!

I’d have 2 glasses max on my own. Maybe more with friends.

I'd end up pouring about a third of it down the sink in a couple of weeks.

A few others are more like me - not saying that's right or wrong though!

2 nights - tonight and tomorrow. Might buy a second bottle on Sunday too & finish that off mid-week (more likely next weekend).

Not sure how small your glasses are to make a bottle spin out to have.f on Friday and 2 more glasses on Saturday!

3-4 hours. I think that's fairly standard for someone who would drink a bottle of wine in one sitting. Those who wouldn't will come on to tell you three weeks.

I could drink nearly a full bottle over the course of an evening. Only on a weekend and in company though!

I like the concept of "weekend wine" op! I don't have a usual. On a very rare occasion I could have most of the bottle in one festive evening. Never a whole bottle, which doesn't make sense as when i say most of a bottle i definitely mean only one glass of it remaining. I often have 2 glasses, might do that for a few days or or it might sit about for a bit.

Hour and a bit if I really went for it, which I don’t anymore.

I manage one glass after really looking forward to 1 or 2, then choke down another a day or two later because I’m so aware it’s open, then end up binning it or using in cooking the following weekend.

A glass tonight, one tomorrow and bin the rest in two weeks like the other posters

I get migraines if I have more than one or two (absolute maximum 175ml x 2)
those of you who only have one glass then don’t really want more…why not buy the mini bottles? There’s a much bigger range than there used to be. I love a mid week small Prosecco or cava mini bottle - 2 flute glasses delicious.

Well I was planning on a glass or two/half a bottle but have sat here enjoying srolling through MN, listening to R1 (pretending I'm still young and trendy) and now only have a small glass left so will finish that with my lasagne and a couple of episodes of Sex and the City.

So probably 2.5 hours to finish a bottle of (white) wine 🍷
