The one with my siblings is "Sybil-ings".

My 73 year old mother won't use WhatsApp because Big Data. She insists on using Telegram instead, and won't allow herself to be added to any group chats because Reasons. I won't use Telegram because I'm neither a drug dealer nor paranoid loon so I have to email her instead. She also keeps notifications turned off on her phone because she thinks it's "very intrusive" for it to ping whenever it wants to. It doesn't make for easy communication. And no, she isn't senile, she's always been like this.

It was 'unplug is very haram' after tiktokker Sister Minnie, then I got kicked after changing SIM - was only admin so that group was fubar'd.

Now we have 'woah hack better, fambalam' as all teenagers tried & failed to re-join 'unplug'. 😁

Our household one is called "Can someone..." because it's usually me asking everyone else if they can do something.

I have one with DH and eldest DC that DH called "YARP".

My side is just Surname Family.

The one with DH and kids is our address.

I wouldn't join an in-law one. Actually, I was added to one but I removed myself.
