Can’t sleep…why are you awake?

I go through periods of not being able to sleep, evidently now is one of them. I can’t really put my finger on why this time round.
Anyone else up and about?

35 weeks pregnant with pgp and insomnia. I'm glad I have MN to read through when dh is sleeping soundly haha.

I'm battling a horrendous sinus infection. Last week I could hardly stay awake. Spent most of each day upstairs sleeping while dp looked after ds. This week I've gone the other way and can't sleep <5am
My headache was slowly getting worse tonight so I washed/dried my hair at 1am to get some relief

Also my brain is going crazy thinking I've made the wrong decision booking my favourite lodge in the highlands for my 30th next month. I'm not sure DP will be able to make it. He asked me how I'd feel about going at the end of feb as he can maybe be there and I said no as it's not my bday and not guaranteed anyway.
Tonight I took the initiative and instead of waiting for his days to be confirmed I booked it (I'm taking toddler ds regardless) but still feel a bit bad. I never want for anything and he loves to see me happy so I'm making a big deal over nothing I think. It'll be great and I really hope he can make it but if not I will have a lovely time

Aaaand that's my ds waking up again! JFC when does it stop? He's 2y3mo.....

@MissMarplesNiece I'm not really sure what to think to be honest. It just so happens that there are a couple of older people in here with diabetes complications, and it's terrifying that that could be me now.

I have 5 children, 3, 7, 9, 11 and 14. My angel of a Mum is with them, but I feel awful as my Dad was meant to be at a hospital appointment later today in the same hospital I'm in now and he's having to cancel because of this.

I'm awake because I'm sad. I haven't been looking after myself this week, I've been putting efforts into things to make me feel better but been let down this week by people and I've taken it hard. I feel very sad and very lonely. I also have a cold starting and my period and had a bad week at work last week so not looking forward to this week. Just made a soothing green tea and trying to stay calm.

I’ve been off work with a nasty virus that floored me and just recovering, now I’m wide awake wondering if I should go into work or not today as I feel guilty. Also suffering with bad heartburn and an ingrown toenail ffs. 🙈

My DD who is 21 month has her back teeth coming through I think and we are on night 7 I think of very disturbed sleep! I think between me and DH we have seen every hour most nights!

Because 4am seems to be the time my body clock wakes regularly. Doesn't seem to make much difference what time I go to bed at. Probably doze just before the alarm goes off. Hate starting the day feeling tired . And an important hospital appointment for DP tomorrow too.

I’m awake due to usual knee and pain. I’m so sick of it. Feeling morose too as I’m. lonely and future looks bleak. Probably down due to pain.

Worried about lots of stuff

My Dad died a fortnight ago tomorrow.
I got a new phone after Christmas and some data didn't copy across, his messages being part of that.
It is on my mind how I can keep them or get them across to my new phone
I was kind of okay about him passing but now the realisation that I will never hear/see him again keeps creeping up on me 😭

I'm awake because DP dads life altering/limiting illness is likely hereditary (which I found out yesterday - apparently they have known a while). They likely won't do genetic testing but if it is, DP will eventually likely get it and we have a DS so mum guilt is rife. Anxiety through the roof, I can't tell anyone how I feel in RL and at the moment I can't see how we can have another baby with the risk. Contemplating going into work 3 hours early just to keep busy 😂

I woke at 4.30, I'm on HRT which has been working brilliantly but change patches on Sunday evening and Wednesday and I've noticed a pattern of waking. I'm trying to decide whether to grab my laptop and do a ton of work, or try and go back to sleep till 7am.

It's my own company so at least if I work it benefits me.

Sorry quoted you in my post as I was also going to add sorry about your dad, I had the same thing and took the phones to a lovely computer repair shop and the guy got the messages off for me, I was told to avoid the high street phone shops and go more personal local, which was amazing advice.

Neuro diverse child who camt sleep. She Is sometimes ip all night bamgingndoors amd doing handstands. She has.lots of.ocds and pad. I never get a full night sleep 😴

Hope all those unwell/grieving get some relief soon! I’m almost 30 weeks pregnant and have been waking between 2am- 4am for weeks now. I also wake with terrible indigestion!

I am awake because I am on the West Coast of the USA and it's 9:37pm Sunday evening.

DP is snoring in bed and refuses to wear his CPAP Machine. Again. To say I'm irritated doesn't quite cut it.

Staying in a hotel for work and can never settle

I have a torn meniscus and am waiting for surgery - I’m in a lot of pain in the meanwhile. I’ve been awake on and off throughout the night - it’s been like this since the injury in October.
