Sick to death of dogs

Went to the beach today with dh and dd1.

Got jumped on by a dog off its lead. Owner said "oh. Sorry"

Two dogs ran up to us and started growling and snapping at me and dd who was playing on the sand.

Another dog ran up to us, had no idea what it's intentions were!

All off lead, all owners using their baby voices "don't do that Fido darling!"

Dog shit bags everywhere despite their being loads of bins and even free dog bags!

Absolutely so fed up of entitled dog owners and their nasty little dogs.

@JamJar59 It was gone even quicker than I thought!

At least you know now.

@Bululu it's really not the case that "only dog haters see dogs behaving badly". As I mentioned up thread, I'm a dog lover and former owner (of 4 large breeds) I've witnessed, and experienced, lots of poorly trained dogs unfortunately, and gave lots of examples. In addition, I've been jumped up on a fair few times (which has dirtied my clothes), and 2 of my on-lead dogs have been attacked by off lead dogs. At best the owners said sorry but obviously had no control or idea of how to prevent it happening again, and at worse couldn't give a shit. I've had neighbours allowing their dogs to bark for ages and either don't care or don't know what to do. I'm a huge dog lover but there seems to be an ever increasing number of irresponsible owners.

You’re so hurtful with your untrue stereotypes, ouch!

At least the friends I do have also love dogs. I couldn’t be friends with anyone as cold hearted and judgemental as the majority of people on this thread.

Are you an old, cat lady? Is that why you’re like this? Or is it all animals you hate?

Moro93 · 30/01/2024 18:37

Actually, it’s very likely the whole thread will be deleted if individual posts keep getting removed.

Ah, it’s so childish!

Sick to death of threads like this…..

Oh god yes, so am I. They are so boring. There are plenty of no dogs allowed beaches OP. Go there.

Loonancy · 30/01/2024 18:46

Err. Not in winter so much

HoppingPavlova · 31/01/2024 04:01

@AlwaysGinPlease There are plenty of no dogs allowed beaches OP. Go there

Have you not actually read the thread? The problem is OP can’t do that, as it makes no difference in that no dog allowed beaches are full of dogs due to entitled owners believing this rule does not apply to THEIR dog. Unfortunately, the entitled owners are in the majority these days. What do you want, photographic evidence? I’m sure lots of people have plenty. But, I’m guessing that’s not what you are after. You are after OP not to go to any beach, incl no dog allowed beaches, so she doesn’t disturb dog owners there and also kick up a fuss on Mumsnet about it.
