TV shows as a child that freaked you out

Just thought I would start a threat for fun, I was trying to describe this particular show to my partner and he had no idea what I was talking about but after much researching I found out it was Wizbit, which was played by Paul Daniels. The yellow hat and the rabbit honestly freaked me out. For context I'm 33 so this was early 90s it must have been on..anyone got any shows that still give them the ick as an adult?

Ace of Wands with the Tarot theme music. Absolutely terrifying. Am getting palpitations fifty years later 😫

@Justletmelogon

That HHOH was awful, never forgotten it

@suburburban and it definitely wasn't suitable for children ( tho my eldest DC watched it with me and agreed 😱)

The red hand gang. There was an episode where a boy was kidnapped and he was wrapped in bandages. I had to watch it from behind the sofa.

Amazed that I only saw one mention of The Moondial. I'm in my mid 40s now and thinking if it still gives me goosebumps. Creepy af.

I am intrigued by this hideous NoseyBonk character! I'd never actually heard of it before now. Having Googled it,I see it was on TV in 1979,when I would have been 15/16,so I suppose I'd stopped watching kids TV time by then.

How about The Krypton Factor? I remember there was a bit where they had to seemingly cross something by stepping from one hexagon to another. If they trod on the wrong hexagon, they fell or went up in smoke or something. That was mildly trepidatious.

Isn't that the adventure game?

Krypton Factor was a sort of game show.

Incredible Games, which had a young David Walliams with a peculiar hairstyle. In one games, the players had to cross a giant chessboard without being caught by the sinister Dark Knight; and also, they had a general knowledge quiz set by a Victorian schoolmaster, who would gunge them for wrong answers. There was also a game in which two players had to collect a giant glow worm from a wall of moving hands, which would grab the players if they got too close.

The BBC Chronicles of Narnia was very scary in some scenes, such as with the White Witch (complete with creepy organ music, when Edmund enters her castle), and Eustace shedding his dragon skin.

I loved Knightmare, though. My brother and I would often play it, with one of us blindfolded, and the other making up "quests".
