Feeling grotty with weird sore throat. Anyone else?

Went all dizzy and nauseous in Aldi and had to abandon my shopping and come home. Felt cold all afternoon and now got a weird dripping sensation and the need to clear my throat constantly. I've only just got over a cold and am unreasonably irritated. Any magic medicines anyone loves? I'm craving the Spanish sore throat spray I got one holiday years ago that numbed everything and tasted like magic banana medicine. Yuk

This isn't a "wow I'm the only one with a sore throat " more a "fuck sake not again" whinge 🤣

I had this it was COVID.

I hope not but think ill test. I'm coughing now too and a colleague I hate meeting with just messaged to say he's got it 😣

I’ve just got over 2 1/2 weeks of fluky cold and cough with a hideous nasal drip only for the sore throat to start. I’ve been off my food and no nothing is tasting right I think I have Covid, although I’ve not tested positive with two tests

I've just gotten over really bad congestion and snotty nose and it's blimmin back all over again! I just want to breathe! And smell and taste 😭

I'm all congested and I'm losing my voice. Ugh. My husband is poorly, too. Hot toddies all round.

Just done lateral flow and it's negative but I feel like it's getting worse so maybe will turn out to be Covid. I'm fed up of feeling poorly. Not been 100% since November

Negative test but coughing more now and phlegmy. Annoying

I think the most distinctive symptom currently is I permanently have a weird taste in my mouth though.

There’s a thread full of poorly people lots of whom ended up on ABs or with pneumonia.

Look after yourself! I found cocodamol has helped with the coughing.
Really take it easy.

And be ready for a long ride- I started New Year’s Day and am not right yet.

I felt awful at work on Thursday morning could barley lift my arms up or hold my lollipop. Went back to bed for three hours when I got home. Did a covid test which was negative had the afternoon and the Friday off work. Felt not too bad over the weekend.

went back to work this morning and felt awful again like I was made of jelly. My cereal this morning tasted like cardboard so tested again and was positive. It’s more the sheer exhaustion than anything.

Cough is getting worse and my chest feels like someone is sitting on it today.
I'm working at home but just want to sleep

Has anyone tried a cocodamol at night for the cough? I think it might have helped- I’ve had two better nights anyway.

Oh bollocks. I was ill for about two months before Christmas. I've been ok for three weeks and now I've got it.

Nasal drip and funny taste in my mouth. Then a sore throat, the beginnings of a thickly cough and feel unwell. So annoyed.

If you possibly can

Don't work
Do sleep

You will get better quicker that way

Feel awful today, like someone is squeezing my chest and pushing up lots of gunk. Headache, bodyache, tiredness.

Yes, the nasty taste in the mouth, at the back of the throat.

I've got covid and that is probably the most distinctive symptom. Everything else could be flu but I've never had a taste that lasts like this with anything else.

Tested positive for covid this morning. Feel awful, breathless & temperature. Headache again too.

I've still got sore throat from coughing but it's a lot better. No snottiness of nose though at all which usually follows with throats for me!

Woke up this morning feeling a lot better than the previous two days. I feel like I could probably wfh today but not sure whether to push myself.
mainly feel very congested today with a bit of a dodgy tummy.
