How much would you pay for a croissant?

Just a single croissant, no butter, no filling. From a terribly naice shop, to take away.

I was stunned by the price. I promise to come back & reveal it, but I'd like to know what others think is reasonable - maybe I'm out of touch.

A terribly nice plain croissant made by an actual pastry chef. I'd pay £3.

£4 is the going rate here (Marlow, home of the overpriced wanky cafe)

I’d expect £2.50ish but wouldn’t particularly raise an eyebrow unless it was over £3

About £3ish from a proper bakery. I would t pay more than that.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it was £5 judging by a couple of food markets I’ve been to lately and a pop into Gail’s.

I personally wouldn’t pay more than £3.50, even if it was spun by angels. I’m willing to bet you were faced by a bill of about £4.50, though.

Paid £4 for one at a posh artisan bakery near me. It was very nice but I'm sticking to Lidl in future!

If so, pricey but I bet it was good.

For a single croissant I personally wouldn't pay more than £1, but I'd rather get a pack to have better value

3.50 It's what they charge in a local coffee shack. They are good though.

They’re about £2 in Costa, so from somewhere actually nice, about twice that? I might choose not to buy one (depending on how they looked) but that’s what I’d expect.

I wouldn't mind the price (up to £4 I suppose) , if they were nice, very rarely they are
