Omg I have Been find 400 for for tipping 250 if I pay within 10 days .

This would have been during in my time of struggling badly with my house and the state it was in my bins getting over full and really struggling with everything really badly.

I know I should not have done it but I was struggling. As far as I know they are talking about a couple of bits I took to the communal bins . ( they don't belong to me house) but to the flats behinde me. I couldn't get the bits in the bin. So I left them next to the bin. They would have been bits of wood from a unit i think .

Domestic violence, seems to mean nothing
When your going through shit it . Its easier to fuck up I have admitted several times to fucking up .

I'm not coming back I will probably grt ripped apart for this post to. And I'm not willing to be pushed over the edge.

It's not a bad thing to step away from the internet if it's causing distress, kudos for recognising that.

You committed a crime, and a preventable one at that. Sorry you aren't finding the sympathy you crave, perhaps some personal responsibility and seeking help from organisations set up to do so is needed?

Quitelikeit · 20/01/2024 15:38

Not sure if they have taken it away. If not hire a man in a van? Then tell the council it’s been cleared

bombardelli · 20/01/2024 15:38

It pisses me off to see people fulminate against this sort of fly-tipping, if they don't also support the elimination of bulky waste collection charges.

I go to the dump when I have bulky waste, which costs me nothing except petrol while someone with a lower carbon footprint than me and on average worse off financially (non-drivers tend to have a lower income than drivers) gets charged £25 to get their bulky waste removed. This is wrong in principle, I don't see why I should benefit from a service not available to other residents who pay the same council tax as me.

I hope everyone who has lambasted the OP has also written to their local council asking them to get rid of bulky waste charges.

People who can’t afford to pay much are charged a lot less. My council charge £15 for 5 x bully waste items. My elderly disabled mum isn’t charged at all.

So yes, those who can afford to pay should pay. Otherwise council tax charges will go up to employ more people to collect people’s waste.

AliceOlive · 20/01/2024 15:39

Is the stuff still there?

Geekylover · 20/01/2024 15:39

Well deserved fine. Fly tipping is a big problem and I’m glad the authorities are clamping down on it

SweetBirdsong · 20/01/2024 15:41

@fishesdrivecars678 · Today 12:45

You need to appeal and tell them you were removing rubbish which had been previously fly tipped by someone else.

Just tell them that there is no way you should be fined for doing the council a favour by removing it. The fine is not yours and right in the middle of a cost of living crisis.

Just stand your ground with them without saying you were in a bad way,

What a dreadful idea! Hmm Telling her to make up a cock and bull story. Catch yourself on! Ludicrous suggestion that will only result in the OP getting into a much worse trouble, and with a bigger bloody fine. Ignore this advice FGS @Shamefullhouse

SweetBirdsong · 20/01/2024 15:46

Sorry to hear you are going through a rough time @Shamefullhouse and so much shit is going on in your life. Flowers I hope things get better soon. You were never going to get sympathy on here though. I would either hide this thread, OR ask mumsnet to delete it as it's upsetting you. (Just click report on your original post and ask mumsnet to delete the thread for you.)

Hope the flytipping thing is sorted. You will need to pay the fine though, and as I said, you are lucky it wasn't more.

Wishing you well, and sending you good vibes and blessings. Take care of yourself.

"As far as I know they are talking about a couple of bits I took to the communal bins . ( they don't belong to me house) but to the flats behinde me."

The fact you put the rubbish which was more than a few bits into/around bins you didn't own means you did fly tip.

As a side note. My council has the same rule re collection of bulky items and one of the "items" is two bin bags secured together.

Call someone in RL for support, today if you can, even if it's just the Samaritans it sounds like you need a human voice to talk things through with.

pickledandpuzzled · 20/01/2024 16:00

@Shamefullhouse please go back to one of the threads where you’ve been getting support. You’ve been doing so well. This I a hiccup- a road bump.

Leave this one alone and go back to your other threads where people have a better understanding.

Why?

craigth162 · 20/01/2024 16:03

Next time dont fly tip. Take stuff to dump or hire a skop

OpalOrchid · 20/01/2024 16:06

Hide this thread and step away from the internet for today. Go watch TV or for a walk with the kids. Clear your head of this internet nonsense.

Hoolahooploop · 20/01/2024 16:06

You need to take things to the tip.

if you ‘can’t make it’ to the tip then you need to hire a man with a van. If you can’t do that you need to keep your items until you can afford to pay to dispose of your items.
simple as that really. Absolutely zero sympathy here

Shamefullhouse · 20/01/2024 16:08

SweetBirdsong · 20/01/2024 16:02

Why?

Because there's not. All the positive stuff has gone .Because I fucked up .

You're catastrophising. Yes you fucked up but that's not the sum total of who you are. Mistakes are what makes us all human. Step away from the internet today and call the Samaritans for some help.

SweetBirdsong · 20/01/2024 16:12

I'm sorry you feel shit @Shamefullhouse but I don't know what you expect people on here to say. Some people have been unsympathetic yeah, but some (including me) have been quite kind. What are you expecting from this thread? Why did you post it? As pps have said, (incl me) you could do with hiding the thread, or asking MN to delete it.

pickledandpuzzled · 20/01/2024 16:14

All the positive stuff is still there. You have made one mistake an have massively improved life for you and your kids.

RaccoonOnTheSofa · 20/01/2024 16:18

Can you speak to the Samaritans @Shamefullhouse? your last post was very concerning.

At the end of the day this is a big deal for you, but in the grand scheme of things it’s small. You aren’t a fuck up and your children love and need you. Please get some support for your mental health. Xx

MonsteraMama · 20/01/2024 16:21

Hang in there OP, it'll be ok. We all fuck up sometimes. It seems catastrophic now, but it's not. You can sort it, speak to the council on Monday, be honest, apologetic, and ask about payment plans for the amount owed. They can help.

For the future, if you have the Nextdoor app or something similar you can post there for help getting rid of shite. I've helped a few people in my village take stuff to the skip in my van, in exchange for a brew and a biscuit. There are people out there who will help you. I know how hard it can seem when you're surrounded by stuff and just feel snowed under, physically and mentally, and I'm so sorry you're obviously going through a lot.

Hide this thread and take a step back for the day, or return to another of your supportive threads as a pp suggested. This is just a bump, it's not the end of the world.
