Pointy end if the stalk end won’t snap.

Stalk end. Usually starts itself

From the top. Only occasionally do I have to resort to peeling from the bottom.

Stalk end, much easier to peel and less mess.

Also, has anyone been told when they were kids (in the early 90s) that you shouldn't eat the blunt end of banana because snakes sometimes release poison in them? 🙈 Sounds ridiculous but my family still cuts off that blunt end of a banana...

They open more easily from the pointed tip (pinch gently). Snakes do not store poison in fruit.

This is a revelation! Until today I never even considered the blunt end.

This is like when I found out that some people scrunch loo roll while others fold!

When peeling from blunt end don't you get banana skin slime under your fingernails? If not, how do prevent mushed banana at that end?

Never occurred to me to use the blunt end! I just dig my nail slightly into the stalk end, that's enough to make it peel back easily.

DS2 - blunt end.

@SugarAndSpike you don’t put your nail in the blunt end just slightly squeeze it and it will open, much cleaner than opening from stalk end

What?! People peel from the blunt end?! I have not heard of this in all my years. You pull the stalk back til it snaps and peel it back!

All bananas are individuals. Thus I use whichever one of the four methods suits the banana best.

The blunt end or it as we call it here the bum end. Much easier.

Snap in middle. Perfect for kids.
Second half stays in skin if it's not wanted straight away!

I thought you were meant to peel from the blunt end as that what monkeys do. I always g stalk end though

The blunt end like a monkey and I was told the little bit at the end had a stinger in it and would sting you!
