It's 4 o'clock and I'm awake again. Granted, I slept from 9-330 but I was hoping to sleep till about 6, especially as I hadn't slept at all Monday night.
I'm away for work so an currently lying in posh hotel room, which is very nice but still awake. So come join me for a chat if you're awake too!

@Sunday12 I have always been known as being that laid back I'm almost horizontal. It's not stress, worry or anything like that keeping me awake fortunately. It's like a switch flicks and my body says, right- you're awake.
As a teen I could happily sleep 13- 14 hours.
I'm assuming it's a sympton of perimenopause, I don't have many thankfully.
I could manage, I think, if I just got one decent 8 hr stretch a week.

Well I'm back! Awake again. I slept from 10-4 again. Another 6 hour sleep.
Anyone else awake?

In florida and flying back tomorrow - going through my to do list in my head!

Would love another week here but also looking forward to my own house, sugar free Vimto squash and 'real' food 😂😂😂

I had to be up early but I slept from like 9 til 3 Sad and i didn't have to be up that early. Tried two different audiobooks but nothing. Big meeting today and I need to leave at 6:20am. Eugh. Might as well give up now I think!

Edit - posted too soon: Sorry to hear you haven't slept well in the hotel room . Sometimes I think that when you've planned for several nights of catch up sleep it feels worse when you are lying awake. Especially as you aren't home so don't have the usual options.

Stressedgiraffe · 18/01/2024 05:02

Having to get up early is the worst! Especially when your brain then makes you wake up stupid early.

Went to bed early and my body hates me sleeping. I am out of bed since 3am and have to leave for work in 2 hours. Hate having insomnia but I also hate the current bout of acid reflux I am having.

Woke up again at half 5 as the cat was being sick this time, so I got up, got dressed and came to work! Kinda nice being the only one in the whole building - nice and quiet so I can get on with things
