First grey hairs - when?

I turn 38 this year and am happily surprised that I've never had a grey hair (it's brown).

My mum got her first grey hairs at 19.

What age did you get your first silver threads?

I had a few in my mid-30s and touched them up with dye. Then in my mid-40s I stopped the dye when I had enough grey to make it a proper colour choice rather than just random strands.

I am a redhead though and my hair isn't exactly grey, more like a kind of butter colour mixed with pure white strands. Gets mistaken for blonde until people look closely which is a bit disappointing as I really love the look of grey hair in all its variations (especially very dark hair with those glorious white stripes).

Probably started a couple years before 40 but didn't notice. I had about 10-15 at 40.

I’m 38 and pretty much 50/50 between dark hair and grey - of course the grey is where it can be seen and underneath still pretty dark. I’m happy to embrace it, been growing it out for a while and been speaking with my hairdresser about when to actually start dying the dark that is left grey.

Found my first one at 14. Had very dark brown hair.
At 47 pretty much completely silver.
My 15 year old son has several grey ones at his temples (much to his sister’s joy!)
