Weird things your body does (not seen one of these threads for a while?)

Just in the shower once again counting how many tiny TINY little red dots have newly appeared on my boobs and arms and made me remember some of the past MN threads about weird shit the body does for no reason, especially the things that Google says = death imminent.

the ones that sound concerning have all been checked out and explained as "body can do strange but harmless things".

As above - I get random pin prick red dots mainly on my boobs and upper arms. They are so teeny if I didn't look for them id prob never notice. They aren't cherry angiomas, just dots like I've been jabbed by a needle 🤔

When I wake up in the morning if I go to touch my eye bag area even just slightly, no actual touching, i hear a whooshing in my ear on the same side

I get very slight beaus lines on all my nails for no reason whatsoever

If I get VERY stressed I sometimes get a splinter haemorrhage, always on the same nail, same place

I occasionally get slight purpura in the exact same place on my thigh. Nothing like googling "tiny bruises on leg no injury" to put the shits up you!

Angel by Thierry Mugler literally smells like BO on me. Perfumes with similar notes are fine, just something in that reacts to my....oils???

I have one random very straight thick ginger pube that just grows forever and I have to trim it. (not just one pube, just one ginger one)

I once had a cyst on my forehead and when I finally squeezed it cut it out with a scalpel from Amazon a shard of glass came out 🥴 do not recall having an accident!!

Anyone else have anything a bit weird? Or am I not that weird and others get stuff like this?? 😃

I don't know if it's weird or entirely normal but my left eardrum throbs if I hear a solo violin playing. Not any other instrument, or several violins- those are all fine. Just solo violins.

Since coming off ssri's I get an 'internal jolt' when I move my eyes too quickly! Feels like my insides jump!

If I'm hungry then my ear hurts with like a trapped wind feeling inside it. Why would wind be in my ear??----

If I lightly stroke the inside of my right elbow it makes my right cheek unbearably itchy 😂

My eyebrow hair grows after I've drunk alchohol.

When I sit cross-legged, my big toe curls of its own volition. Seems to be due to the pressure of leg B leaning on leg A's ankle. I've lifted and lowered leg B only to watch big toe on leg A curl and uncurl by itself. It's fascinatingly creepy to witness.

@ChaoticBag yes!! I was very relieved to hear they were common. The first doctor I spoke to was like 'no I've never heard of that and it doesn't sound very normal' which was helpful 🤣

Nystagmus. I have it triggered by a brain injury

Whenever I’m pooing my nose streams an absolute river of snot. It stops as soon as I’m done.

If I scratch the below my nose my left eye twitches.

the smell of popcorn makes it hard for me to breathe.

I get a weird sensation in the middle of my eyebrows if I hold something sharp near it (pencil etc)

I looked in the mirror this morning and there was a massive hair growing out of my nostril. Not a little delicate thing, a great dangling thick one.
Why has no one told me? You can't bloody miss it, I bet it wafts around in the breeze when I'm out. I'm surprised it hasn't poked me in the eye.

Sometimes when I’m about to fall asleep I get a persistent light muscle spasm in my lower back that makes me utterly convinced I have a tail and am wagging it.

I get an occasional very painful eyebrow, even to touch it lightly. I have no idea why causes it.

When someone tells a spooky story and I get freaked out, my eyes water.

Saying ‘pickled onions’ makes my mouth do that weird watering thing.

I get a sharp pain on the outside of my kneecap and exactly the same pain in my side at the same time.
Also, I get a weird electrical current buzzing through a boob occasionally.
I have strange little toe nails which split vertically, are too thick to cut and have layers!
Final thing, (God I’m a freak), I’ve had 2 C sections. I’m a natural ginger but all the hair above the scar is now black. It wasn’t before I had children!

Gleeking!!! I didn't know there was a word for it, but I knew as soon as I read your post what it would be. I can gleek on command!! My DS2 also gleeks when he yawns!

If I'm doing physical activity that needs me to bend from the waist (like gardening - get your minds out the gutters) I sometimes get what feels like muscle burn behind my ears and in my scalp. It's really horrible

Also, I can tell when I’m about to get a migraine because suddenly everything smells strongly of hot peanut butter

I sneeze every time I eat or drink too quickly or too much. If I'm anxious I get weird sensations in my feet a bit like the end of pins and needles and I just want to rip them off. I also get mouth ulcers the day after drinking alcohol. I get an uncontrollable coughing fit and/or whooshing ears and split second dizziness if I laugh too much. Its really annoying a ruins comedy shows for me.

My littlest toes on each foot sit on top of the 4th toe. When I broke my ankle and was in plaster, ever time I had it checked they initially panicked the plaster was on too tight, until I showed them that the other one matched
My cousin had the same.

I cannot shave my legs with a razor or else I get intensely itchy skin for days and days after. An electric razor is fine.

If I get a fright while I'm driving the hair on the backs of my hands stands up so fast and so hard that it hurts like a thousand pinpricks. It only happens while I'm driving. A fright at any other time and I just jump or scream like a normal person. Something to do with hand posture on the steering wheel? Or the mental focus?

Also, I can make sounds come out of my ears.

I get a cyst on my inner labia every month, I get dizzy a lot, as soon as I eat my first meal of the day I need to rush to the toilet.

I have one random white hair that grows in the centre of my chest. I have huge areola! The biggest I’ve seen, but when my nipples are erect they shrink to a third of the size!
