Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa, in my kitchen spot. No-one else is up yet & the only sound is the swishy noise the freezer makes & it's humming. Bliss 😊 I can hear dd2 moving about upstairs though so it won't be long until she comes down.

I'll put the washer on soon for work stuff and uniform. Other than that, the house is clean and tidy. I do want to mop the floors later though & clean the arms of the chair and settee with some upholstery foam.

I'm seeing my dad for a couple of hours this morning, then coming back to nip to Lidl with dd1 for a few things. After that I'll settle down for a while to start some Chinese New Year peg people for work, and make some more beaded tassels for my Eras Tour jacket.

Dd2 doesn't want to come to Lidl - she has a small pile she wants to go through in her room, and wants to tidy her new dressing table drawers. She made a start on her homework last night so I'll suggest she finishes that too, then tomorrow's totally free.

I'm not sure what dd1 is doing other than coming to Lidl. She always has homework so if she's doing nothing else I'll suggest she cracks on with that.

Chicken wraps for tea, maybe with wedges and coleslaw 😋 And what's left of my birthday cake for afters.

Good morning Lucysmam and others. It's a cold bright day here. I slept later than normal so I'm about to have my second cup of coffee. Yesterday I was in Edinburgh at the ballet and had a lovely time. I was thoroughly spoiled.
Today is housework,washing and shopping day. That's what I'll be up to. A bit of cross stitch later. Enjoy your day

The never ending washing and tidying of course! Need to sort out the DC clothes again. Swimming this afternoon then beef curry later.

Hoping to find some time to read this afternoon. I'm thoroughly enjoying working through the Rivers of London series, I think I'm a little bit in love with Peter Grant 😂

Gloomy and cold morning start here. Cats got me up too early but it means nice long coffee's in bed.
DD2 and I are off into town as she has Christmas money to spend and I want a new purse and some leggings.
DD1 is tired from a busy week at college and her part time job so she will just be pottering.
DH wants to fix his cement mixer! Such fun.
DCat1 will get in the wardrobe for a day of sleeping and hiding from DCat2 who will make a nuisance of herself.
I need to get on my treadmill after the Christmas break later so want to find a new series to watch whilst treading.
Not sure about food yet might be the local butchers steak and ale pie with mash and roasted veg or homemade Nandos chicken wraps.
I also want to make some rock buns if I have time but motivation may leave me.

I'm first up with the youngest as usual, tea and blanket on the couch again as per usual 🙂

First week back at school/work here and everyone is absolutely shattered.

We have absolutely no plans for today. Will have to do the usual uniform wash etc but no plans to what we are actually doing. Debating a film afternoon for us all. Still ploughing through the Christmas treats so might get all cosy with treats and a film.

For dinner we have a m and s takeaway box (yellow sticker 👍) and will supplement with extra rice etc.

Ooh @ShipshapeShore I love those books and regularly re-read them all. It's such a fun world to disappear into and very funny.

I'm still in bed feeling sorry for myself as this stupid virus just will not go. It's been 7 weeks! Don't plan on doing too much today, maybe some baking as the mini egg cookies I made during the week went down a bit too well!
We're off out this evening for dinner at a place we've been on the waiting list for since this time last year so hoping I feel better by then.

We haven't really got much planned for today. We are still in PJs, I've hung up a load of washing and will stick the uniforms in shortly and I have the dishwasher unloaded and a bag of rubbish chucked in the bin so we are at least vaguely hygienic.

I've got a Lucinda Riley book to read (the girl on the cliff) so I might get stuck into that and let the kids puddle about and watch cartoons and play. DH has a chest infection so we might have a trip to OOH later because nothing is shaking it and he sounds like a dying duck

Having a nice lie in here. No plans. Might go for a swim at some stage. Also took lay option and bought two brisket pies (with mash) so they will be handy for dinner .

My medication alarm went off as usual at 7am, I thought, yep, I'll just do that in a second and then it was 8.30am!

I'm going to sort through my wardrobe and make a pile to take to the charity shop today. I have an embarrassing amount of stuff due to my Vinted addiction and I never even wear what I buy 😕

@lucysmam please, please can you post a pic of your peg people? I'm fascinated about these and would love to see what they look like!

Morning all. DH and DDog are out for a long walk and will pop into the pet store for treats. I’ve prepped breakfast tacos for when they get back and enjoying a slow morning with the hockey and cricket on.

no real plans today just keeping warm as temperatures still feel very low. I’ve got my books to read and colouring books so I can relax. DH will either paint the skirting boards and garden. Then chicken burgers for tea with wedges and salad and something on Netflix.

Morning lucysmam & everyone. The one day I could have had a lie in & it didn’t work as my back & ribs were killing me! Just gearing up to pop to Tesco Express for a loaf. Will do a bigger shop at the main branch after I finish work this aft. Only doing a 4 hour shift. Hoping it’s busier than it has been ( people are skint after Christmas). Two of my bunnies are outside the French doors looking extra cute - I swear they practice how to look the most adorable! I need to check with DH before I give them any kale as he might have already fed them. Shed a little tear just now as a picture of our bunny that passed away last year came up on my Facebook memories. Think it’s a sort yourself out tea as DH is collecting DD15 from her girlfriend’s this evening & won’t be back til fairly late. I’ll probably have an Iceland risotto that can be stir fried when frozen. Really yummy! Looking forward to the return of Gladiators tonight.

I'm currently in bed with one of the dogs. Dh and DSS2 left early for football, the other three kids are still asleep. It's chilly and gloomy here today too and I don't want to get up but I suppose I should. It seems to have been January for 6 months. Hurry up Spring!
Will get up now, have a shower and then go and pick up contact lenses from the optician. Will call to Matalan and Halfords on the way back as we need a new bath mat and a tow rope. Not the most exciting of purchases.
Will make chicken and chilli soup for lunch.
Dh, the DSS's and Dd2 are going to the cinema this afternoon. I will walk the Doggies and then DD1 and I are going for a drink (she is 18 so now we can!) and we are meeting everyone else afterwards for dinner. Have a lovely day all...

Morning, @lucysmam ! I’m still lounging around in my dressing gown, drinking coffee.
Will heave myself off the sofa shortly to hang up laundry and have a shower.
When DD’s carers get here, DP and I will go out - the only thing on the agenda is to find DD a new winter coat. Maybe if we get her a pink or purple one she’ll actually wear it…
We’ll have lunch while we’re out and try to get a bit of a walk in.
Might do veg risotto for supper.

Oh and I just saw you mentioned birthday cake @lucysmam many happy belated birthday wishes!

We were going to go out today either park or soft play but dd1 has woken up with tummy ache so we’re currently cuddled up in my bed. Dd2 is sleeping on me after being awake since 6. Dh has gone to his parents to work with his dad.

Calzone for dinner so I’ll make pizza dough soon for that. I might make a jelly too for kids and dh for afters.

I have cleaning to do but house isn’t too messy. Need to go to the garage and stock up on logs. It’s going to be a cold one tonight. Clean bedding to put on too.

@OldTinHat they're like the top of a dolly peg (I have done dolly peg ones in the past but they don't stand up well). We use them for display & imaginative play/retelling stories.

I love Vinted - very handy for nice stuff for work for a few pounds...doesn't matter if I paint myself or get messy then 🤣

Morning all. Dh got up with the baby at 6 and let me lie in until 9. I knew I married him for a reason just having my first cuppa and cuddles with the baby while he's gone out to walk the dogs. It's cold but sunny here, nice walking weather so I think later on we'll get in the car and have a drive out to somewhere where we can have a good walk.

Later on we'll be watching the new gladiators which I'm very excited about and having a takeaway.

Morning all. It’s lovely and quiet here as I’m the only one up. Dh is at work, dd9 had a sleepover at her friends across the road and dd19 and dd16 are still asleep.

I’ve put the dishwasher on, put the Tesco delivery away and thrown all the recycling into the bins outside so far this morning and I’m now back on the sofa with a cup of tea.

I’ve no major plans for today. I need to get some passport photos done so I can send a renewal through for mine and also pop to the butchers for steak for tomorrow’s tea, plus the usual uniform washing and a bit of cleaning.

Dd19 is working 12-4 (short shift today) and dd16 has a job interview this afternoon so they’ll both be kept busy later and I’ve no idea what time dd9 will arrive home.

I’m having stir fry for tea and I’ll do a pasta bake for the dc. Dh is going out early tonight so won’t be eating with us. I’ll then probably find something to watch with the girls before bed.

Finished watching the new Bluey episodes on Disney+
I'll get the dog walked for an hour or two and then head to town for a coffee and a bit of cake.
DD is off to her friends so it'll just be me. I may take a book.. or, oooo there's an idea, I could go to the library for a quiet few hours reading something. 😁

I'm planning a big sort out of the spare room/dumping ground. It's got out of control since Christmas so really needs sorting 😩.

Morning all! Currently drinking a nice coffee and the kids are having a snack after swimming. DH has gone back to bed after his postponed Xmas do last night 😁

After I wash the kids hair we've got a music lesson for DD1 and a playdate for DD2 which she is very excited about. Then some combination of cleaning/lounging about for the rest of the day.

@RabbitsRock also stoked for the return of Gladiators, hoping the kids will be as invested in it as I was back in the day!

Finished first cup of tea, gearing up to take mum her paper. The corner shop’s been closed all week so I’ll need to rouse myself as far as the co-op. Still, thanks to ideas on here I might look out for a pie for tea.

Some crafts this afternoon, trying out a new sewing pattern. Someone’s asked if I will make them a memory bear, but I want a practice run first before I commit, in case their fabrics are super precious.

DC have homework, but this will involve forcibly removing them from playing Genshin and I haven’t the energy for that until after lunch!

Morning early start for me this morning. DH brought me a cup of coffee at 4:30 this morning as we are driving from Cornwall to London, taking DS1 back to Uni. (We are currently on the M4) and we will be returning later this afternoon.

I am in the backseat of the car, reading Mumsnet and doing my online shop for tomorrow!

I’m in Hong Kong for the day, so we took a trip up to the Peak on the tram, walked through the park, caught the Star Ferry and ate some delicious dumplings for lunch. Just planning dinner. Such a great city, I’ve had a thoroughly enjoyable day and it’s lovely walking around in a t shirt and no coat.

Carrying on with building bespoke storage shelves for utility room, they will be dusty pink when complete, guessing with paint drying time a week? I am imagining they will be the answer to all our ground floor storage problems. We shall see.

In between that attempting to introduce S1 friend to slightly more "healthy" flavoursome food later, wish me luck! Baby steps it's basically chicken and potatoes.

Big ideas to bake a sake as well I don't know that might be a baking step too far.
