Thank you for your service...😁 Locally we're in a bit of an FR hole, certainly at low altitude and I've thought about doing similar but can't justify the spend.
Re Madera...never been there but know for many airlines it's a " visit" airport..i.e. the first time a pilot goes there need to go with a trainer... These days with the improvements a lot more of those sorts of clearances can be done in the simulator.
No idea what the worse 7 airports in the world are, or even how you'd define it. There are a few in Central/South America and also in Asia which have nasty combinations of being at high elevation, surrounded by high terrain and also subject to occasional nasty weather...places like Mexico City and Bogota can be interesting.
