Do mean the actual 4 digit (identifying) squawk each aircraft puts out or just the so called alerts (7600, 7700)?

If it's the individual squawks I think (open to correction) it's a subscriber function on flightradar on laptop/PC, it's definitely displayed for free on some of the other trackers such as ADS-B exchange.

The TUI flight from Belgium finally landed (via Tenerife)

I’m new to this ! I’ve just had an alert that the flight UAE28Y has lost radio communication. Is this frequent ?

Looks like potentially the last flight of the evening to land at Funchal didn't manage to land... I have to get off this thread 😂

It's in the Frankfurt area squawking a normal code ATM, 5236 FWIW, so any loss of comm must have been brief.

You can get a lot of frequency changes coming out of London and heading into Europe as you hop from one controllers box of airspace to the next, to the next etc and just occasionally a change gets missed....it usually gets sorted out fairly quickly by various methods (for example calls on the emergency frequency, which is always meant to be monitored), it rarely escalates into a major problem but it has happened.

Is this one of the TUI flights from this morning?

It’s weird. It’s rainy here and windy . But not hurricane type winds. I know there’s the downwind from the mountains but it’s not horrific (Obvs I’m not a pilot!)

The TUI plane looks like it left Manchester for Funchal yesterday. Got diverted to Porto santo. Porto to funchal yesterday then got cancelled. They tried again today and then got diverted to Tenerife! Now trying to get to Funchal again. What a trip! I wonder if it’s the same people still on there!
