We were on the Porto Santo runway with a TUI flight yesterday. I can’t believe it’s the same one. Poor buggers

Looking at the airport reports I'd agree that it's not that really that windy ATM ( 18 knots about half an hour ago) but unfortunately it looks like the direction has swung round into one of the regions where a mandatory 15 knot limit that got discussed earlier today may well apply.....the wind speed may well be varying so whether a flight can land or not will depend on timing...

So Tenerife to Funchal are still trying to land ?

I'm trying to work out if they are going again or just stuck in a hold pattern

I have decided tonight Madeira is absolutely off my to visit list!

Given TAP are having a go and TUI have turned back I wonder if there's been a drop in the wind..(wind was forecast to reduce through the evening).
