Had been vaguely considering Madeira for a week away on my own in April. Am not going now !!

Was the secret government French flight heading for Funchal? Did it make it?

For info just looked at the weather at Funchal (both actual and forecast) and it's now possible cloud base and visibility are as much as a problem as wind and turbulence.

It's all potentially a bit grim, certainly in the showers, for at least another couple of hours.......

Every time I think EasyJet is about to divert they swing in a different direction! Every glance seems to change whether they're heading back to Tenerife, still circling, or diverting north (possibly to Porto Santo?)
