Nooo - the EasyJet plane was almost there and has aborted the landing. FML I would be screaming.

I did wonder if Tui was heading back to Tenerife but looks like they’re coming back again

I flew into Funchal for my honeymoon on Porto Santo in 1993. Back then you had to get a tiny plane from Funchal to PS.
Our luggage took so long to come through that we missed the connection. Poor DH I had a honeymoon strop which resulted in the holiday rep giving DH a wad of notes to take me out to lunch in the town. We had to wait till the evening flight so we spent time watching the planes landing at Funchal....

And that's a no!

This pilot's YouTube is usually quite interesting, this is his landing at Madeira a few months ago (landing from about ten mins in)

Why am I so invested in these flights. Now have a cup of tea and checking out where all the private jets are flying from. So far one out of the Azores, Rome and Madrid. Where they all of too?

Interesting, for the info of those trying to compare that video with today on FR that's a video of a landing to the north east rather than landing to the south west.

Shows the terrain close to the runway quite well....
