Getting rid of pubic hair during pregnancy

I'm embarrassed to say it's been a while since I've done it 😬 and it's now at a point where's it's too long and actually quite itchy. Pre pregnancy I preferred it hairless, but I find it so difficult to shave due to size of bump/getting in the right position etc. I can't reach all of the places that I need to.

How do others do it? I'm worried about the risk of infection but it really needs sorting. I've got hair removal cream, I'm thinking of maybe trying that tonight.

Leave it, the itching passes.

This

Far more likely with re growth if you shave.

Pubic hair doesn’t ‘need sorting’ leave it alone while you’re pregnant.

I used veet whilst I was in hospital having middle kiddo, he was early and I had pre eclampsia so I was in from 34 weeks. I had a vagine wax booked at 38w so because I couldn’t see it I just left it. Mortified at the prospect of the surgeon seeing my full pregnancy bush (hindsight who cares) I asked (now ex) hubby to bring some shower veet in.
Did it in hospital shower & left it for a lil longer because it was like cousin it down there.
Came off legs no issue, washing my lady garden it was another matter. The water BURNED. I had chemical burnt my vag. I was walking like John Wayne as everything was sticking to it. It was like a raw chicken fillet. Told one of the midwifes id become friends with and she was ROLLING laughing. Then told all the other midwives.......😂😂🙈🙈 ended up with special cream and a maternity pad to stop it sticking to my pants. And a massive scabby wet area when I had my emcs which was probably worse than a massive bush 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I do find it extraordinary that in the 1970s women successfully campaigned against automatic shaving on being admitted to the labour ward, and now women are embarrassed at the thought of having pubic hair.

Yes. We’ve achieved nothing, except now we are calling it ‘a choice’.

Mad isn't it. The language around it is so sad, too. Talking about not feeling 'clean' unless the natural hair has been shorn, ripped out or melted with chemicals.
