Watching the new traitor series and her face and neck the most unatural orange colour. Everyone else is a nice normal colour even with lots of makeup on. Who on earth does her makeup?

I wish my had her hair. Any humidity and my hair goes horrible, I can’t even get a fringe to look anywhere remotely good.

I wish a tv production company would make a “Nights Out With…..” where people could go on a night out with celebs and see if they are how they think they are from tv. If you’re reading this any producers, please count me in!

JaneJeffer · 05/01/2024 02:18

OK but how does she use H&S without it stripping out her hair colour?

I think it would do me the world of good to make a (slightly late) NY Resolution to come off Mumsnet in 2024. This is the second thread that I've seen in just 2 minutes pulling a woman in the public eyes appearance to pieces. Both threads absolutely brutal. What a judgemental, catty, spiteful bunch.

Have yoi read the thread? Actually pretty much all the posts on it are positive & supporting Claudia

Its really just the OP who's being negative. So not sure where you're seeing the judgemental, catty & spiteful posts

She irritates the life out of me BUT I like the fact that my opinion would mean absolutely fuck all to her and she's unapologetically herself. Good for her - we can't make everyone like us, no doubt there's people out there who I irritate the life out of, too!

I remember her saying her friends in the past tried to talk her out of the pale lipstick but she wasn't having any of it.

Good for her that she's found a look she's happy with. Though I sometimes wonder if the fringe in her eyes bothers her.

It’s called “Celebrity First Dates.”

cloudtree · 05/01/2024 05:27

She needs to be instantly recognisable. If you saw her like this she wouldn’t be and it would affect the amount of work she gets.

Just seeing her on the last series of Strictly, attempting to interview Vito Coppola post dance, was a joy to behold.

the80sweregreat · 05/01/2024 06:35

I'm sure I've seen Claudia in darker lippy ?
Might have dreamt that though !
Lipstick stats on me for about five minutes, so she's doing well in that department whatever make or colour it is

Maireas · 05/01/2024 06:35

Claudia is ace. I refer you to Nan upthread 👏

FuckinghellthatsUnbelievable · 05/01/2024 06:40

I do think without the make up she could pin back that fringe and just go about her day unrecognised. Winkleman walks among us. It’s like a mask for performing in.

ThreeRingCircus · 05/01/2024 07:27

She is a warm, intelligent woman with a great sense of humour. I love her for not giving a toss what other people think (and agree that her clothes on Traitors are spot on!)

Watch her NYE Graham Norton interview on catch up if you want to see her talking about her look. She doesn't take herself too seriously which is refreshing.

We need more people like her that are confident, funny and positive rather than OP, sat at home bitching about how another woman looks.

newnamethanks · 05/01/2024 07:28

Agreed. I believe her telly look is so over the top that, without it, she can probably go about her everyday life unmolested. And if that's the case, bloody good luck to her.

DaisyDaisyDaisyDaisyDaisyDaisy · 05/01/2024 07:49

@Kedece2410 yes I have read it thanks. Did you read my comment? There are 2 threads on here. The other is vile. This one has developed well thankfully although I stand by my view that the OPs post is focussed purely on a woman's appearance and as such absolutely stinks.

cathyandclaire · 05/01/2024 07:51

I love her too. I want to have shiny wavy hair like that, how does she do it? Her younger hair wasn't as glossy, has she said she has a Brazilian blow dry or something like that?

Tempted to try Head and shoulders after that clip -and the fake tan-!

ThePoshUns · 05/01/2024 08:05

There's no way she actually uses head and shoulders to get hair like that.
I think she's great.
Doesn't take herself seriously.
I like her clothes but not her makeup but like others say it's probably ramped up for work so she's less recognisable away from it.

whereas you are????

LoreleiG · 05/01/2024 08:12

Came on to say I love Claudia but see everyone else does too.

toomanyleggings · 05/01/2024 08:14

you don’t know what she’d look like white though? I’m the same. Insanely pale and it just looks shit. I’d rather be orange. Just about to get in the shower after my weekly spray tan to bask in my lovely orangeness! Good for her

pickledandpuzzled · 05/01/2024 08:19

cloudtree · 05/01/2024 05:27

Now I’m imagining her incognito in Sainsbury’s.

She’s one of few celebs I recognise so her look works for me! It’s also a personality- she’s not positioning herself on her glamour, but on her skill and wit.

teddycoat · 05/01/2024 08:21

CrispsandCheeseSandwich · 04/01/2024 20:22

I love how she just embraces this. She was on graham Norton the other week talking about how she just loves being orange 😂

Me too- I bloody love her. I love that she's so take me or leave me and is very honest about her love of fake tan. She doesnt give a toss if others don't like it and I admire that about her.

lollipoprainbow · 05/01/2024 08:27

She was awful on graham Norton, and as if she doesn't own a mirror what twaddle.

donquixotedelamancha · 05/01/2024 08:45

Octomingo · 04/01/2024 20:36

I think she's quite canny. Everyone can place Winkleman; it's her signature look. Even she gets bored of it, it's her thing. There are loads of tall, blonde ones- like Daley- so presumably harder to stand out.

This. When she first started out she was generically pretty and utterly forgettable.

As others have said, it has the added benefit that she's very difficult to recognise without the 'costume' on.

TomWambsgansSwans · 05/01/2024 09:22

PurpleSilverPetal · 04/01/2024 21:16

I always imagine in real life, that she walks happily around in her light brown highlighted hair, with normal makeup and subtle, eyeliner and glasses, and no one recognises her.

Just like that guy with the huge glasses and pointy collars, who will be unrecognisable without his trademark look

Looking entirely nice and normal, and incognito, going about their everyday lives

I used to see Harry Hill out and about in our local park with his kids - without the glasses and the shirt he is virtually unrecognisable; he could be any of about 50 media-type Dads pushing his kids on the swing. It's savvy as I bet he practically never got recognised.
