How many Greggs sausage rolls could you eat in one sitting?

Just that.

I reckon I could do 5 at a push. (Plus a bonus steak bake...)

Only 1 due to the heartburn after.. but the jammy doughnuts covered in the pink icing with sprinkles .. now that's a different kettle of fish .

Waiting I am like you, I love homemade by me sausage rolls and could easily eat five or six of my own Blush but don't see the appeal of the Greggs ones.

I made some at Christmas and they were bloody lovely. I wasn’t going to have one because I’m so used to thinking of myself as a person who doesn’t like sausage rolls, but I felt I had to sample one as I had made them. Glad I did!

tsmainsqueeze · 03/01/2024 19:57

1 max , but could probably manage 3 of their apple danish.

NoKateMoss · 03/01/2024 19:36

You see I'm the opposite. I'm careful about my food and a bit of a food snob but sausage rolls fall into the category of "cheaper the better".

I reckon 3, 4 at a push.

That’s interesting and that’s how I am with chocolate- the crapper the better. I don’t like dark chocolate, truffles or posh boxes of chocolates, just the nasty stuff which probably has hardly any cocoa in it and just loads of sugar! (Reese’s Sticks are my current favourite)

BeaRF75 · 03/01/2024 19:59

No idea, but I have never been in a Gregg's in my 50+ years. Are they really that good?

Shadowsindarkplaces · 03/01/2024 20:06

Quarter of one, with a mahhooosive salad, be full for a week..😉

Nottodayplease36 · 03/01/2024 20:07

About 6 if I was hungry🐷

"Good" is questionable..

Is McDonald's a Good Burger?
Nah.
Is it tasty? Well, maybe. Can you rely on it to fill you up and keep you going when you just want a quick bite? Does going to a McDonald's give a sense of familiarity, no matter where you are, you know what they serve and what to expect? Yep

Same with Greggs really.
The sausage rolls are cheap in the grand scheme. You can have a snack each for a family or a bigger meal for a single person and it's not likely to cost much over £6.

It's not high end food, foody people are unlikely to order a Greggs, but.. Greggs os warming, almost cosy, they're familiar and filling. Iyswim

IncompleteSenten · 03/01/2024 20:09

Far too many.
Which is why I'm so fat.

StaunchMomma · 03/01/2024 20:09

None. Hate them.

Reckon I could have put away 3-4 sausage, bean & cheese bakes before my body decided to ruin my life by becoming gluten intolerant, though. The utter bastard.

MolkosTeenageAngst · 03/01/2024 20:10

I reckon I could eat at least 10 if there was a real incentive to try and eat as many as possible, it wouldn’t be comfortable but I think it would be doable. Maybe more, I’m not sure as I’ve never actually eaten more than one at a time. If it wasn’t in a competitive situation but at a buffet or something where it was all I liked so all I was eating then maybe I could eat 3-4.

greenacrylicpaint · 03/01/2024 20:11

just the one. they set of my gallbladder and steak bake is far superior anyway

MrsMoastyToasty · 03/01/2024 20:13

None. However if you have a secret stash of bacon and cheese wraps I'm sure I could carry out scientific studies on consuming those delicacies.

Followed by a twin pack of Belgian buns.

HappiestSleeping · 03/01/2024 20:13

TitaniasAss · 03/01/2024 19:26

None, because they give me chronic heartburn, sadly.

I volunteer to eat them so you are able to enjoy them vicariously through me.

How many would you like me to eat for you?

Seriously, it sucks not to be able to eat them. I feel for you

Scampuss · 03/01/2024 20:15

Sadly none as I have a wheat allergy 😭

ThePoshUns · 03/01/2024 20:16

Genuinely only 1, they are so greasy. I'd rather a cheese and bean bake.

bahhamburgers · 03/01/2024 20:17

Right now, about 15.

I was diagnosed as coeliac 3 years ago, so can never eat one again 😭😭

They are pure shite, but Greggs and other fast food was my vice. I’ve lost 10 stone since I was told I was medically unable to eat the crap food I loved. Which shows the extent of the problem I had 🤣

Iam4eels · 03/01/2024 20:17

justhadenoughofitall · 03/01/2024 19:45

Whoa, steady on.

There's a 24 hour Greggs???

Just googled and apparently it's not 24hr now but it is open until 930pm.

It's also a drive-thru so you don't even need to get out of the car. Me and my dressing gown are leaving now.

ssd · 03/01/2024 20:18

2 at a push, dipped into ketchup

ssd · 03/01/2024 20:18

OpalOrchid · 03/01/2024 19:29

I'd need a caramel doughnut after 4 to make it a balanced meal though.

Very sensible

bendypines · 03/01/2024 20:20

One. I might have said two but on the whole, I've noticed that they seem a little more salty these days. Or perhaps it's my taste buds since Covid, not sure.

ItAintGonnaGoDownEasyIfItAintCheezy · 03/01/2024 20:22

We dint have Gregg's here but our Iceland overseas stocks it ans sells cooked sausage rolls. They used to come in a pack of 5, it's probably 4 now, but I can and have eaten the pack of 5 on the way home🫣

AnotherAdventFridge · 03/01/2024 20:25

Sausage rolls - none, gave me huge allergic reaction once can't even look at them.

@TerfTalking Gooseberry plate pies, oh yeah probably a couple.

Someone needs to invent a sausage roll in pork pie / hot water pastry then I'd be good for a fair few. (starts thinking of way to make this happen this weekend).

AgnesX · 03/01/2024 20:26

Do they still make the cheese and onion ones 🤤 And an empire biscuit 😀

Ineedhelp1981 · 03/01/2024 20:30

I could probably eat 3 comfortably with a Tottenham cake after 😋
