How many Greggs sausage rolls could you eat in one sitting?

Just that.

I reckon I could do 5 at a push. (Plus a bonus steak bake...)

Probably 3, but I'd feel a bit queasy (and very thirsty!) afterwards. I wouldn't though, I don't think it'd be worth the calories. I'd rather eat a sandwich.

PickAChew · 03/01/2024 19:29

None. I don't even like the smell. Not that I can eat anything that Greggs sells because of various dietary intolerances.

MargaritaThyme · 03/01/2024 19:31

One, at a push. Cheap, nasty processed meat products are not really my thing.

Nice, mature cheeses, on the other hand… 😋

glassconcreteandstone · 03/01/2024 19:32

I find that they're easier to eat once microwaved- I have a shameful preference for the soggy pastry 😭 1 would be my usual though, with a tandoori chicken baguette on the side!

Yes if he was awake, but I used to go to the park which was right next to a row of shops when I knew he was about to nod off and have a lovely peaceful walk in the park, eat sausage rolls and feed the ducks.Haha sounds a bit sad written down but I really loved it at the time.

JazzTheDog · 03/01/2024 19:34

If they're hot from the shop probably 2 but if it's the cold bag of 4 I reckon I could manage all of them.

2 pack of yum yums for afters

Clevs · 03/01/2024 19:34

One at a push because I think they're really overrated and I'd go out of my way to find a local bakers that sold them instead of Greggs.

Sausage rolls should be eaten warm and every time I get one from Greggs they're cold. They won't heat it up for me (I understand why but who wants a cold sausage roll?). So unless I get there as they're taking a batch out of the oven I'm often left disappointed and wondering why I'd bothered again.

I wouldn’t- I don’t get the appeal. I’m a snob about sausage rolls- the only ones worth eating IMO are homemade or artisan ones from a farmer’s market 😂

I reckon my 15 year-old DS could easily hoover five or six for a snack though.

You see I'm the opposite. I'm careful about my food and a bit of a food snob but sausage rolls fall into the category of "cheaper the better".

I reckon 3, 4 at a push.

JonjoMonjo21 · 03/01/2024 19:37

I could probs eat 3, then want something sweet, like a caramel shortbread or the caramel custard donuts 🐷

TerfTalking · 03/01/2024 19:37

None.

As a born and bred northerner Greggs has gone downhill with every year passed. The sausage rolls are vomit in pastry and the pasties now contain nothing but slop.

I miss the old Greggs or even better when it was Thurstons before they were rebranded and they actually sold bread and gooseberry pies.

I could eat a whole gooseberry plate pie in the day.

Off to google the history of Greggs now ….

Discomboobulated · 03/01/2024 19:38

One would feed myself and my ds for a week.

PaminaMozart · 03/01/2024 19:38

😫
That would depend on how much I'd be getting paid to eat them...

ADHMum · 03/01/2024 19:38

One. Because I've had a gastric sleeve.
Before that maybe 3.

But veggie ones. Don't like real sausage meat.

Cosycover · 03/01/2024 19:39

Probably 3 and then I'd have heartburn for a month.

KissTheRains · 03/01/2024 19:40

I've had a pack of four and 2 Belgian buns in one go before.
I was very hungry after a 15mile hike so I deserved them.. 😁

Wbeezer · 03/01/2024 19:41

I could only eat one, once the craving is satisfied and you feel the grease congealing on your lips that's it. The first is always the best, same with a lot of bingeable foods, so just stop after one.

Okitten · 03/01/2024 19:41

4 and I get an extra savoury addition as I don’t have sweet tooth so I want a cheese and onion pasty on the side instead of a cake please!

DogsAreBetterThanHusbands · 03/01/2024 19:42

1 is usually enough for me. If extra hungry maybe 1.5 or 2. I like them but would be fed up of then taste if I ate too many.

I prefer the mini frozen sausage rolls from the supermarket that you cook at home. I could eat about 20 to 30 of those, I think.

NewYear24 · 03/01/2024 19:43

Yes we are all allowed one extra item for every four sausage rolls we eat.

But what if a big one was the size of 3 regular ones? 😂 then it would still be one but technically also three! 🤔

OpalOrchid · 03/01/2024 19:44

I live near a Greggs outlet shop. The 4 packs of sausage rolls are 1.50 and sometimes they are buy one pack get one free. I quite like them cold but If I want to warm one up I give it a quick blast in the air fryer.

Might need to drive to the 24hr Greggs now and get myself a pack.

Whoa, steady on.

There's a 24 hour Greggs???

How sad is my life!? I have a day off midweek. I take DC to school, get myself a roll on sausage (plus an extra sausage for the dog) and a coffee, and 2 sausage rolls for me and aforementioned dog to share at lunch time.

RedRobyn2021 · 03/01/2024 19:51

They are disgusting so none thank you
