Waitrose not giving vouchers this week?

fussychica · 03/01/2024 12:21

Just checked the Waitrose app for my vouchers this week before shopping. Nothing. DH account the same. They are pretty poor anyway these days but I do still use them when they're relevant.
I wondered if it was a glitch this week or they didn't think I spent enough with them at Xmas😂. Anyone else the same?

I haven't had any M&S ones since the rubbish advent calendar ones.

fussychica · 03/01/2024 12:29

No M&S for me either. Perhaps they think they've treated us too well with the very poor Advent Calender offers!

Me neither!

Yes no vouchers on my app either 😒

Lotrehin · 03/01/2024 12:46

I've just got one stuck there that expired yesterday (which I didn't use). It's a pretty poor system.

fussychica · 03/01/2024 13:51

Good to know it's not just me.

I've gone off Waitrose since their cashier was racist to me just before Christmas, anyway. When that happened I knew standards had truly dropped.

fussychica · 03/01/2024 14:06

madeinmanc that's dreadful, did you complain?
Agree about standards. I used to love shopping there but our store is now grubby, poorly stocked and staffed. I only buy a few key items in there compared to the past. Have switched to M&S for a lot of stuff, like many people.

No vouchers for me either this week! Glad it's not just me.

madeinmanc · 03/01/2024 18:05

I did complain about the incident, the woman at the customer services desk just said "I'm sorry you feel that way", i.e. a non-apology.

Lifeinlists · 03/01/2024 20:10

None for me or DH this week too. I'm still getting free copies of The Times, though we only usually get the Saturday one. Presume that'll pack up soon.
Tbh the recent ones have assumed I eat lots of expensive tarts. I don't.

Agree about the drop in standards and our local one seems to be run for the employees who are a bit too cosy, loudly chatting and regularly leaving out of date chilled food on the shelves.
That's pretty shocking though @madeinmanc

M&S all the way for us if we want quality.

Smallinthesmoke · 03/01/2024 20:18

Oh good, I thought it was just me....

Minewasthesame · 03/01/2024 20:21

None here either, both of our local stores are lovely though!

Fbifan · 03/01/2024 20:26

None here either - this week or last!

RainbowZebraWarrior · 03/01/2024 20:29

None for me, either. I did get my usual ones last Wednesday though.

It's pissing me off as I haven't had an email telling me they have changes their system or anything (which they did the last time they had a shake up)

I concluded / hope that they are just late this week due to New Year. My delivery is due Saturday, but if there are no vouchers by Friday, I'll be re thinking booking a slot next week.

brownbutterfrangipanetart · 03/01/2024 20:30

None for me either this week!

SaturdayGiraffe · 03/01/2024 20:31

Thanks for starting a thread OP. I was wondering if it was just me.
CBA with them anymore.

herewegoagainonmydog · 03/01/2024 20:34

Yea! I noticed this morning.

I had some yesterday and used them on some apples. Today there was nothing 😞

fussychica · 03/01/2024 20:36

DH just got a new phone and hasn't even bothered to transfer the app. Think they may have shot themselves in the foot yet again by further passing off their ever dwindling customer base.

OP posts:
Hmmph · 03/01/2024 20:36

I haven't either. They're not that great tbh so not terribly sad- but I will miss my 50ps off.

queenofthewild · 03/01/2024 20:38

None for me either. Not that they ever bloody work anyway. They've told me it's because I have a screen protector on my phone.

Whilst I'd love to use the vouchers, my phone is worth a bit more than 50p off a bag of apples.

RainbowZebraWarrior · 03/01/2024 21:46

There's a few people asking about this on Twitter (as Waitrose brag about their usual January savings on cleaning products) so I've added my gripe and asked for a response.

I'm not continuing to pay £4 delivery if I don't at least get some weekly vouchers to make it feel slightly worth my while.

MargaritaThyme · 03/01/2024 21:52

No vouchers for me, either, so this is obviously a new policy by their marketing department. Not that 50p off milk was much of an incentive to shop there, anyway.

NanTheWiser · 03/01/2024 22:41

Glad to see this post, OP, as I thought it was me! No vouchers available, but I’ll check again tomorrow morning before I do my shopping. The vouchers aren’t worth that much - they seem to have shrunk in value lately, but it’s nice to think you’re getting a little bargain.

MistyMountainTop · 03/01/2024 23:34

Full complement of vouchers here, expire 10th Jan
