I have an inappropriate head shape for woolly hats

I cant wear them

In order to get them to cover my ears, they cover the tops of my eyes

Additionally, something about my head shape means they ride up my head and eventually sort of pop off my head.

I tried again for one last time tonight and failed.

Its a burden .

I agree that shat you need is a hat with flaps. Not necessarily big flaps, just a shaped band that goes lower towards the sides and the back and covers your ears.

I found an old hat that I had forgotten I had. Its a sort of peruvian thing (apparently) and it has bits that go over your ears and quite a high frontage. But the best bit is that it has little bits of string that tie under your chin

Advantages - my ears were warm, didnt ride up off my head, didnt cover my eyes, didnt press on my ears like muffs do

Disadvantages - I look like a goblin.
