Can't unfreeze bank card

I'm with Halifax. I had to freeze online purchases because my younger kids were using it to buy games . It said that i can remove the freeze at any time which I have several times . It's literally just a swipe . But it won't let me take it of. So I can't pay for things on line which means I can't do my children's room up as I can't get the stuff.

Just wondering if its hapoend to others. I'm wondering if I have taken the freezer on and off to many times. It does not say there is a limit

So your kids were basically stealing money. Hmmm me thinks you need to do more than freeze a bank card

Big assumption. He's only 8 years old he's autistic and has learning difficulties. So he doesn't know hiw he's doing it

I also have learning difficulties. I don't know how I have done it. He's had a tablet for over 2 years its never happened before until vert recently. I tried taking the card off and it won't let me .

Use the family safety features for google play, so purchases can’t go through automatically and have to be approved by you and message halifax on their app tonight, it might be something that can be dealt with automatically by the bot or it can put you through to an adviser re unfreezing.

You'll have to phone your bank to sort it out tomorrow. It might possibly mean you have to wait for a new card to arrive.

Personally, I would not link my bank debit or credit card to any of the kids' games. Ever. DH did it with his once many years ago and DD2 (very young at the time, still in primary school) ran up quite a bill. Lesson learned and it hasn't been repeated.

You should cancel the card. Halifax creates a new card that is available online within about a day. You can use it online even before you receive the actual card. They are really good

I think I have some how done it by accident. I know a couple months back I lost my bank card . And so I could get buses I set up a payment thing on my phone. I think it may have been Google pay. I didn't really know what I was doing and have messed up somewhere now I can't get it off. So think i will have to ask bank to help me

You can set it so that it asks for a pin if purchases are made on Google play store

Kind off. We have had alot of stress been through alot etc etc . My kids have never had a nice child's type room . And I'm trying to do it all for them before they come back from their dad's as a surprise for them
