Good Morning Everyone? What's everyone up to for Boxing Day?

I'm in my kitchen spot, have been here a while now, browsing my new books (Murdle and Merry Midwinter), making notes for next year before I forget, and scrolling t'interweb.

I've done a load of bedding washing (dd2 put her new stuff on yesterday), and am getting up to wash up the few pots there are in a mo.

Today is party food & leftovers picky day so I'll pop the oven on for the few extra bits I've got to cook & get dressed while it warms up.

Once they're cooked it's "help yourself to what you want" and mostly a day of chilling doing not much. I'm not good at doing nothing so will pick up one of my many crafty projects or my books again until I get ready for Panto later on.

Been dog walking. My new rescue girl is being a wee star. Now relaxing with my iPad and DP and various dogs and cats, not doing very much. Films later. Perfect Boxing Day really.

Stood in the beating line awaiting the guns! Nice gentle day today before Beaters' lunch then back home to prep tea for parents arriving. Watched the start of the meet and had a good catch up with friends (plus a shot of brandy) before coming here. Beautiful clear morning, nice and sharp after all the wind/rain so loving being out today.
DD and DH will probably still be in bed but I've left instructions for DH to put mulled wine on ready for when I get home.

I went to the gym this morning and plan to spend the rest of the day eating large amounts of cheese.

All of our guests have gone and the house is nice and tidy.

Been up a few hours, walked dog and had croissants

Both DS not surfaced yet, one is off to the footy this afternoon, and we are all midway through a game of monopoly!

Need to pop to the shop for some vagisil (festive) and some bits for tea, and have a magnum of Prosecco to drink!

Trying, and failing, to motivate myself to clean up.

I mean it's a choice isn't it?
Clean the house..
Or sit and eat more rubbish and watch telly..

Whilst I try to figure this conundrum out, I'll have a sit down and a biscuit. 🤪

Morning all!
I need to get dressed and take the dogs for a good run. We will be eating cold meats, pickles and mash later, with panettone, biscuits and selection box chocolate inbetween.

Good morning. There’s still just me and dh awake here so far today, all 3 girls are still fast asleep although in surprised dd9 isn’t up yet!

We’re having a lazy day today, I’ve got a load of washing in and one another to do after that but that’s the extent of what I plan on doing.

Food wise I think we’ll exist on cake, chocolate and Pringles most of the day as we still have absolutely loads left!

My sister is doing a buffet later today so we’ll be going there at around 3pm before back home for a few glasses of wine and probably a film. Dh is back to work tomorrow so he won’t be partaking in the wine…

Either sort out my wardrobe or watch many episodes of Sharpe.

Waiting for my DC’s to get up so I can take them over to their Dads. They’ll open presents, I’ll have a cuppa and somehow endure the time spent with Ex.
Then back home via my parents to collect gifts left there yesterday, some tidying up (if DP hasn’t done it by then, which he probably will), then not too sure. I’d like to say a nice afternoon watching films but both DC are ND so it’ll be whatever they chose to do I suspect! Might squeeze a walk in as otherwise I feel I will melt into the sofa.

We are having our second Christmas Day with all the family coming round. Despite opening a huge pile of presents yesterday there is still more to be opened by DS.

Dh is working this morning (NHS). I’ve walked the dog and done some laundry. This afternoon we have booked to go to a local wetlands/bird park, looking forward to that. Then another roast this evening using leftover beef from yesterday 😋

It's a beautiful sunny day here so I've got a wash on which I'll try to get on the line. Many many tea towels and napkins from yesterday!

This afternoon we are heading off to a nature reserve for a well needed bit of fresh air.

Dinner will be leftovers. Not bubble and squeak think we are saving that for tomorrow, probably just meat and mash for today. And cheese there's always cheese 😂

This evening I'd love to get a lovely long bath with my new bath stuff and book!

Taken the dog for a walk and now sat watching TV as DH is feeling unwell with a cold.

Sat in the canteen at work on my second break. Thought we might get an early day but not happening.
Got up at 4 as I have a half hour bike ride.
And my important job that means I only get Christmas day off? I Pack fish in a factory for minimum wage.

I've had a quiet morning breakfast alone, pate and sourdough toast.. 2 cups of coffee and a wash on. The boys are yet to surface.. I've booked us the afternoon out at a well known activity centre and I'm having a soak in the bath before we head off. Tonight it will be board games, cheese and wine. ☺️

Still in my pyjamas. Today will consist of grazing whilst sitting on the sofa

Just finishing off my tax return (oh joy!) but I need to do it now as back to work tomorrow. Then, I'll take the dog for a nice long walk, eat lots of leftovers, and watch a film later with H and the kids, then family games. Then its comfy PJs and reading in bed- bliss.

Went for a run at 6 and now DH is out. I’m watching “Call the Midwife” whilst the DCs are eating Christmas chocolate and playing with their presents. Off to in-laws later for a walk and buffet. For us Boxing Day is Christmas part 2. Very different from those taking down their decorations today and cleaning! Have a good day all!

DS has gone to his dad's for five days so cleaning & tidying the house today.

Laundry washing. Maybe a bit of prep for decorating this afternoon.

We were due to go to a safari park (visiting relatives abroad) but child was sick everywhere on the way. So just been watching films all day whilst child sleeps on me, and you know what, is lovely!

It's my birthday and I've opened my beautiful gifts received lots of nice texts and will go to town to pick up some Boxing day bargains, have dinner out and then back to watch Fargo.

I went down with a horrendous cold and cough last night that even includes vomiting. My head is so sore I don’t know what to do with it. But the icing on the cake is the bouts of crying that comes with it. I watched call the mid wife and could relate to the cross cultural relationship and all I could think of was - its going to be so hard for you. Then there were a few others things that hit home for me and I keep having bouts of crying.

I sent someone out to buy a Covid test but they can’t be found for love nor money and I’m now sitting here with a lemsip and a jar of manuka
honey.

Some of you are very productive. Im lying in bed musing over last night’s Eastenders, wondering if I need to buy anything in the sales and thinking I probably need another cup of tea. Basically ignoring the real world for now.

Washing on, dishwasher emptied (again)
Beautiful sunny day here. The males of the house are just about to leave for boxing day football.
I'm going to watch last night's Eastenders with my breakfast and then go for a walk on the beach with my mum.
Then, I may tackle the leftovers jenga in the fridge.
Tonight will be (the much hated on MN) picky tea, wine, chocs, and some TV.
