Ive just put on the roasties and hoping they turn out great, fingers crossed...need to put in the other stuff soon, at the stage starting to get hungry and just hoping it all comes together OK

Personally I'd be happy to read my book in bed and eat toast....but needs must.

Congratulating myself on hosting my first Christmas lunch. Waiting for the toddler to go to bed so I can have my solo glass of wine (5 months pregnant but I really fancy one as a Christmas treat)

Sitting and doomscrolling while I wait for updates from DH, who is in A&E with his dad. Hey ho.

I'm having a little soak in the bath. I've been awake since 4.30 this morning and I feel drained. Once the younger kids are in bed in an hour or so I'm going to go up myself and watch a film in bed with my husband. I always want to stay up late on Christmas day and have a few drinks but I always end up knackered.

We’re half snoozing on the sofa with wine and Gavin & Stacey Xmas special on the telly. Utter bliss! About to warm up some mince pies.

Skipping dinner after that huge lunch 😬

Lovely reason to just sit and cuddle and let other people wait on you.

Watching a movie and waiting for the dinner to be ready, stuff has about 30mins left on timer.

Just had dinner. All stuffed. Was great. Thank god.

I'm spent! Going to put a little buffet together of leftovers for me and DH shortly (we had lunch at 1). He's putting DC to bed now. Then a glass of something and something on the telly. Nice chilled day ahead tomorrow.

Oooh, positive news. He only microwaved the incredibly expensive beef into Medium-Well instead of shoe leather. He's very proud of himself that there was the faintest trace of blush on the centre.

And pistachio gelato is on the way.

I've just had a bath using my nice new bubble bath and smothered myself in my new body lotion whilst listening to some 90s dance tunes. I may have had a little boogie in the bath......thank God nobody could see me 🤣.

Now chilling out on the sofa with DH, DDs are putting their new presents away in their rooms and will be off to bed shortly. Then it's leftovers on a sandwich for dinner and DH and I will crack open the Bailey's and watch TV.

It's been a lovely, calm day just the four of us. DDs have been playing with their toys and stayed in their PJs all day and DH and I have just been pottering about cooking, phone calls with family etc. Everyone is feeling happy and full!

There are 6 of us in the house, 4 adults and the washing is my “job”. This is my life, I am always fucking doing it. I’m going see if dh will swap with me because I hate it (his job is the food shopping).

I feel so ill from eating too much, I've gone for a lie down 🤢

DH and DC are half asleep in front of some god awful shite I don't want to watch on the telly.

I said I'd put the dishwasher on but really Ddog and I are in the kitchen sharing the leftover roast potatoes while I browse MN. One for him, one for me, we are having a great time.

Feeling a bit sick after too much chocolate! Now tucked up in bed with a glass of Bailey's and the books I got as presents.

Just having a break from playing prize bingo to have a bit of tea , couple of sandwiches and two malteaser celebrations. I’m the designated driver today and can’t bloody wait to get home about 9 get my pj’s on and have a couple of sippy drinks

We just had a random karaoke session along to Britain's best karaoke songs, was such a laugh.
I'm now watching Corrie with more wine
