What are you actually doing today?

I have a very rare quiet day (haven't had one for years) so I have:

• Wrapped the santa presents
• filled the stockings
• planned what we will be having for elf breakfast on Xmas eve
• later on I will make and freeze the stuffing for Christmas. Might give Yorkshire puddings a go too.

If anyone wants to join me in being merry and sharing what festive tasks you are doing, please jump in.

And no - I don't feel one bit guilty about doing this during work time as I have done hundreds of hours of unpaid overtime this year.

I'm WFH today but it's really quiet for me too - twiddling my thumbs waiting for about 10 people to get things back to me that I can then deal with today/tomorrow before everyone disappears till Jan! I chased them all this morning and about 1/3 already have OOO messages on...

I've just made soup for lunch which neatly cleared out the veg drawer in the fridge and a big tub of stock from the freezer, just in time for the Christmas food shop so I'm feeling pretty smug about that. Also cleared out the pantry to make room as well. Not massively festive tasks but they'll make life easier over the next few days!

I'm having a pedicure this afternoon then picking up son from uni. Lookimg forward to both 😁

I work from home two days and it's mad atm. I'm glad to be out of the office as everyone was being loud and on wind down yesterday and we're busier than ever (cash apps-year end). It's good to have peace and quiet

I appear to be the only person that I work with who isn't off already. All my projects are complete and nothing starts until January. I have cleaned up my inbox and wrapped presents. And I don't feel a jot of guilt about it as I had a couple of late late nights last week.

My work doesn't really get a quiet period. Less may be coming in, but that just means we are then trying to deal with the massive backlog of work that's built up during the year.

Really quiet for me too. I am mostly just the manager on duty in case anything breaks. So long as it doesn't, there is nothing to do.

I am watching George C Scott Xmas Carol while browsing mn and frequently checking emailm Teams etc to make sure all is well.

And tomorrow I am off so all my Xmas jobs can wait until then

I’ve been really busy and am only now having my breakfast! As well as settting myself loads of deadlines to “get tasks done before Christmas”, it turns out everyone else is doing the same so my inbox is stuffed full. I might work this evening because at least I can get stuff done without it constantly pinging at me

I’m hoping it will be quieter tomorrow, so I’ll be able to do some wrapping.

Busier today but yesterday I did the food shop, wrapped some presents and had a long bath!

Working my butt off today. It's always the last working day before leave where it all goes bent. This is me just eating my lunch for 5 mins!

I've got lots of work to do but much of it can wait until January. I'm kind of just ticking over making sure all my emails and customers queries are dealt with, time sheet up to date, clearing out my emails and a few other little admin tasks. I'm not killing myself, more like pottering.

Went shopping for last minute stocking fillers, also got myself some new underwear and got my entire face and neck waxed. Also no guilt, I've exceeded my monthly targets and I'm hideously underpaid.

Mostly just browsed the internet. I can't be arsed to work today. I'll catch up.
I am self employed though so it's different.

I've sent some emails but mainly OOO replies have come back.

Ticked off some online training, reading crappy slides from which I have retained precisely nothing.

Had my lunch.

Going to wrap some presents I think.

Working as usual. It is quieter but tying loose ends ahead of the business shutdown next week.

Although I am wfh it wouldn't be acceptable not to be working, there is always something I could be doing.

Finished early today, but I cleared my inbox and set my OOO and then I cleaned the bathroom 😂

Mandatory training mostly, catching up on stuff I haven’t had time to do in term time.

I'm WFH due to activity at the site - currently on an all hands year end call, did some financial declaration forms this morning, prepped for some adjustments for the year end approaching, rolled some files over to prepare for January, sent some catch up notes and did a team quiz. Hectic already!

It's a ridiculously busy time of year and January will be worse 😂 I do however have Christmas music in the background for working which is spreading the cheer!

I WFH 4 days a week but it is my financial year-end so chasing money still! I am due to be offline next week but will probably be online an hour or so a day to chase clients who are already ignoring my emails

I am on a long lunch break watching Mrs Miracle with the cat.

I’ve actually booked today as annual leave, although I did do a couple of emails and some very small jobs this morning.

So my festive jobs today have been picking up mince pies and a Yule log from the bakery. finishing wrapping presents, changing beds in advance of guests arriving and giving the fridge a bit of a sort/ tidy and wipe in advance of the food shop arriving. I’m currently watching a crappy Channel 5 type Christmas film, although I also remembered a second ago that I need apricot jam for icing the cake so I’ll try to
get some on the way to pick DD up from nursery.

I was working from home yesterday and was fairly busy, though I also did take an hour out to do a bit of wrapping before DD got home, then made it up once DD was in bed.

Love Mrs Miracle!!!! My fave is the 2nd one set in the toy store.
