The news is full of miserable shit.

Instant communication has probably in some ways added to the misery.

Mince is overrated.

Many people are actually kind when it comes down to it.

Hats should make a full-on 1920s comeback.

Rainbows and stars will never not be cool.

Big pants are a joy.
There's too much garlic puree in stuff.
Carol singing is one of the best things about Christmas.
Everyone needs a hot water bottle (even those of a certain age who will come out of the other side one day and feel the cold once again!)
An English garden in late spring/early summer is a truly beautiful place.

Tea should always be made in a pot with boiling water, preferably with leaf tea instead of teabags.
Anyone who has only ever drunk tea made in a mug, with just hot water on a teabag, has no idea what tea should be.

Stocks would be a great idea for fly tippers, litter bugs and those who don't clear up after their dogs.

There are not enough crisps in a standard packet.

its one thing for what tea should be, but i prefer tea in a bag rather than loose as they usually taste similar either way and thats from a cafe in oxford with the loose tea vs different tea bags from supermarket.

Men should not be allowed backpacks. They simply do not realise that they add width to their body when they're spinning them into passengers on trains.

There should be a return to no dogs in cafes. I have a dog. I love dogs. I don't take him for coffee and cake.

It should be easier to navigate M&S Bluewater than it is to mount a polar expedition to find the skirts.

I agree, and it didn't used to be like this. It's deliberate, click an icon and don't worry about where your data is going or who can contact your child...

Totally agree regarding raisins in scones. They have no business being there. Or sultanas. Or any sort of dried fruit. Nor does dried fruit belong in chocolate. Actually,any sort of fruit should not be in chocolate. Chocolate limes make me 🤢🤢🤢. As for orange creams.....

My cul-de-sac reminds me of a cordoned off murder scene where the police/ambulances are parked up with the lights still going

i think it can be useful as long as they are accepting of other religions,
theres no im right your wrong,
theres no supression of science due to eg its playing god (otherwise every medical tech advancement you could debate is playing god

We take for granted the hard won victories that early feminists sacrificed themselves for. We allow ourselves to be traded cheaply for the sake of appearances. Our happiness and fulfilment as women is worth so much more than fatuous social media posts or validation from men. We need to wake up and stop throwing ourselves and each other under the bus.
