A pre-festivities sharpener of Mornington Crescent?

Unfortunately I was absent for the thrilling climax to the game yesterday, and offer belated congratulations to LlynTegid. It's not often you see that move deployed with such laser-like accuracy.
A last hurrah before we all disperse for our traditional mid-winter break? (I'm for the Canaries this year with the curate and his new-ish special friend, a dear young man).
I'll start us off with a good invigorating Hudson's Cast: Goodge Street.

Maybe not that sharp, but Perivale.

DuckonaBike · 30/08/2024 19:51

Let’s liven things up with an invigorating Half-Nelson to Willesden Junction

MarkWithaC · 31/08/2024 12:17

Good lord, I haven't seen a half nelson like that since the marchioness's gory days. I hear she now plays in exhibition tournaments on cruise ships. I suppose it comes to us all, but it does seem rather sad. The Ozymandias of Lyme Regis.

Anyway, I'll play a Forward Clinch to South Harrow to cheer myself up.

A Forward Clinch ! Good lord! that means I can only go to Uxbridge

LlynTegid · 31/08/2024 19:19

With the walking interchange rule I end up at South Ruislip.

DuckonaBike · 01/09/2024 14:47

Well things have certainly turned fruity. I’m actually rather envious of the marchioness, Mark, I quite fancy that as a retirement project myself. Only on a Viking River Cruise, though. I do have standards.

West Drayton

Seaside1234 · 01/09/2024 22:20

If I've counted correctly, should be good to go to Oval.

LlynTegid · 02/09/2024 08:15

I think you have @Seaside1234 . I move to Stockwell.

MarkWithaC · 02/09/2024 10:19

Duck, I believe that's the kind of milieu the marchioness now operates in. I do take your point; it might be rather pleasant – it's just quite a long way off her reign as UK and Northern Ireland Triple Crown champion.

It's an intersected Fosse from me to take us to Star Lane.

I am very impressed at the variety of specialist moves that my fellow players on here of the game of games, are able to recall and employ.
I, myself, never take any move lightly, so saying that I am going for Chalk Farm

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 03/09/2024 14:17

Specialist? I’d be more inclined to describe them as reckless and recherché. But I shall progress with all due gravity and seriousness to

Swiss Cottage

MarkWithaC · 04/09/2024 13:28

There's nothing reckless about an Undifferentiated Second to Tufnell Park.

OP posts:
HazelBite · 04/09/2024 14:31

Or recherche about a sideways Cranfield to Wood Green

Seaside1234 · 04/09/2024 16:17

I'll show you reckless.

Heathrow Terminal 5

LlynTegid · 05/09/2024 14:26

Hatton Cross not to be confused with Hatton Garden, where allegedly a version of the game of games was played for money.

MarkWithaC · 05/09/2024 17:18

The choirmaster has some hair-raising stories to tell about what went on in Hatton Garden until the authorities intervened. He always claims he was there under duress, but one has to wonder.

Hornchurch

OP posts:
DuckonaBike · 08/09/2024 12:51

Very dubious about the under duress, Mark. Under the influence perhaps.

Bromely-by-Bow

MarkWithaC · 09/09/2024 16:19

Oh, well, I couldn't possibly comment...

Epping, I think, by dint of a Westward Gold (very apposite in view of the GB Paralympics team's heroic achievements in Paris).

OP posts:
HazelBite · 09/09/2024 22:59

We've gone out on a bit of a limb here, so I feel that my only option is Hainault

Seaside1234 · 09/09/2024 23:30

Lost my beloved dog today, so using the special dispensation rule we're off to the Isle of Dogs and the best named station in the TFL network - Mudchute.

MarkWithaC · 10/09/2024 11:27

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that, Seaside.
I'm taking a basic McFitchen to Turkey Street.

OP posts:
DuckonaBike · 10/09/2024 19:37

My condolences, Seaside.

On a slightly funereal note, Blackhorse Road

MarkWithaC · 11/09/2024 16:47

I may regret this, but I think West Acton is available if I use my last Dipple.

OP posts:
HazelBite · 11/09/2024 18:47

Your last Dipple! You've been very reckless there. I think I'm going for Goldhawk Road
(I think I've avoided Nidd)

MarkWithaC · 13/09/2024 15:51

Sometimes a player has to walk on the wild side.
Having said that, I'm making a nice safe play now, to Barkingside (triangulated).
