Unfortunately I was absent for the thrilling climax to the game yesterday, and offer belated congratulations to LlynTegid. It's not often you see that move deployed with such laser-like accuracy.
A last hurrah before we all disperse for our traditional mid-winter break? (I'm for the Canaries this year with the curate and his new-ish special friend, a dear young man).
I'll start us off with a good invigorating Hudson's Cast: Goodge Street.

A move rarely played even probably by those from the Hills mentioned earlier is one to Chorleywood, so let's go there.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 29/06/2024 19:59

Yes, my electronic Little Black Book was indeed besieged by cyber hackers, but it has better security than the NASA mainframe and so numerous sordid little secrets remain safe. In celebration of which:

I've just spent a wee while studying a London Underground map for a little bit of help and inspiration for the best move tactically at this point so........
Blackfriars!!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/06/2024 14:40

Ouch! That’s quite a blow, HazelBite. Let’s hope I can escape via

Stockwell

DuckonaBike · 30/06/2024 18:53

I think you can, Maud. Nicely done.

Clapham Junction

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 30/06/2024 20:45

You’re too kind, DuckonaBike. That was a very nifty move indeed. I’m feeling the junction love, so an elongated Winfield to

Dalston Junction

LlynTegid · 02/07/2024 07:26

The London Overground rule gets me to Gospel Oak.

MarkWithaC · 02/07/2024 14:55

Sadly, Llyn, my cycling days had been over for some time before the Major and his chums had the bright idea of biking through Belgium, thanks to my old injury from when I was volunteering at the visiting fair and (if you remember; it was a fairly notorious incident for some time after) some… acquaintances of the church organist deployed their 'joke' involving the shooting range, the vicar's nephew and a stuffed pink tiger.

I am a bit travel weary today but have just arrived at Paddington which seems an appropriate move at this juncture.

MarkWithaC · 05/07/2024 10:58

Wembley Central, I think, using Fosbury's Exception.

LlynTegid · 06/07/2024 10:05

I have no idea if any members of the new government have ever played the game of games. I hope some of them have given they represent parts of the capital.

Hatch End

HazelBite · 06/07/2024 15:35

A Conningtons exception could be in play here so I'm going to reverse play and go to Queen's Park

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 06/07/2024 17:22

Hmm. Interesting to speculate on which members of the new Cabinet might be devotees of the game of games. I shall ask my friends in high places. Meanwhile, I feel we have no choice but to go to

Westminster

LlynTegid · 07/07/2024 07:40

Another one stop move then, to Waterloo.

MarkWithaC · 08/07/2024 16:21

Aldgate (Sertrell's Continuum).

OP posts:
LlynTegid · 15/07/2024 18:07

Aldgate East.

MarkWithaC · 15/07/2024 18:19

Ah, a late entry! I was starting to wonder if I might be able to steal it.

It’s taken me a while to resolve some of the questions here - Is Waldegrave in play? Is the Central line in knockings? - but I think I can go safely to

Cannon Street

Seaside1234 · 15/07/2024 20:18

Well, if Waldegrave is being accepted I'm going straight to Park Royal

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/07/2024 22:20

Oh, I say, Seaside1234! That’s a challenging move for those of us who have to follow, but if we’re going royal I can offer

Victoria

MarkWithaC · 16/07/2024 11:18

I hadn't even thought about Waldegrave, but yes, I think you're right.
And the Central is certainly in knockings ever since that Gospel Oak move earlier.

Excellent play, everyone. I feel a little overawed, but I'm going to soldier on and say Upminster (using a micro-slide, obviously).

OP posts:
LlynTegid · 16/07/2024 17:21

The joys of the London Overground rule (or whatever it will be called) take me to the Elizabeth line and then to Stratford and onto Highbury and Islington. Without so much as one foot on the Central line.

DuckonaBike · 16/07/2024 19:35

Evening all. Sorry for my absence from the game recently - post election celebrations got a bit out of hand and I’ve been lying down in a darkened room for a while. But everyone is in good spirits and the damage to the herbaceous border isn’t as bad as initially feared.

That’s a nice move Llyn, and I’m going to follow it with a quick shuffle to Brondesbury Park

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 16/07/2024 20:22

We’ve missed you, DuckonaBike. Someone mentioned they’d seen you and the returning officer disappearing into the council chamber vaults with a hurdy-gurdy and a case of rather good Chablis, but we didn’t expect you to be gone quite so long.

Let’s keep it floral:

Covent Garden

Seaside1234 · 16/07/2024 22:47

Oh lovely @ComeIntoTheGardenMaud , that's the knockings reversed! Neat bit of play. So then - Tottenham Court Road
