Things that are currently lost

Old batteries (to be recycled but should be beside my bed atm)
Chocolate coins for a stocking (I definitely haven't eaten them)
My wallet (bugger!)

What is lost in your house today?

P.s. I rarely lose stuff so I'm perplexed!

My marbles

If we're going down that road then I've lost the will to Christmas. Wrapping is not going to happen this year. Which leads me to the question...where are the stockings 😱

Nothing is lost as such but I am finding loads of things.

DD has been ill for a month and being a typical teenager has refused to leave her room except for food foraging. Today i'm pigging it out and....O. M. G. 😱

Zoraflora · 10/12/2023 16:19

Teaspoons, I used to have loads there is only about 3 in the drawer now…….

NoItsStillNighttimeDarling · 10/12/2023 16:24

All of the ice cream tops for DC toy ice cream shop because DH tidied them up wrong

AlltheFs · 10/12/2023 16:25

The skirts for the Christmas tree. We have 3, all made by MIL. Can’t find the buggers anywhere. I have a memory they weren’t put away with the decorations as they needed cleaning. But apart from that no idea. We don’t have a loft so there’s very few places they can be.

I’ve found 5 sodding wreaths, but alas not what I actually need.

GeneCity · 10/12/2023 16:36

My nice striped cashmere buff. Its really annoying me. And I'm cold.

Bireadwhatiread · 10/12/2023 16:37

Card. Yet again.

ghostbusters · 10/12/2023 16:37

A Cubs badge DC got at an event 2 weeks ago. Can't find it anywhere. It's just to go on thy blanket, not the jumper but still.

Christmascaked · 10/12/2023 16:40

Roughly ten thousand teeny tiny socks.

All the rechargeable batteries except one lone stray which was inexplicably in the charger thing all by itself.

furtivetussling · 10/12/2023 16:41

My Pandora bracelet in its box.

ImTheOnlyUpsyOne · 10/12/2023 16:41

They're in the British Museum.

The uk

Jules912 · 10/12/2023 16:45

DD's reading diary. After a week of "I forgot to bring it home" she now claims it was never at school, but it doesn't appear to be anywhere in the house either!

megletthesecond · 10/12/2023 16:46

My Xmas mug and the dc's Xmas beakers along with a picture and fairy lights. I have no idea where I stashed them last January.

CrackersCheeseAndWinePlease · 10/12/2023 16:52

In my house I'm currently looking for
Chocolate coins that I definitely bought
My favourite cardigan
Socks

notprincehamlet · 10/12/2023 16:57

A curtain finial. Took it off to hang a curtain and it's disappeared. It's like a particularly dull Jonathan Creek plot.

LinguisticallyCunning · 10/12/2023 17:01

Anything I look for. I know where everything is until I look for them.

Excitingnewusername · 10/12/2023 17:05

My gran's horse brasses. I brought them from her house when we were clearing it as she was so proud of her brass collection that nothing else reminds me of her more. I wanted to tie ribbon on them and hang them on the Christmas tree this year, but they have disappeared.

Also Dh's ability to retrieve the Christmas decorations from the attic apparently.. Literally his only Christmas related task.

BitchImTheSecretIngredient · 10/12/2023 17:15

A treasure chest from a happyland pirate ship. We've moved since we lost it but it still haunts me

TinPanSally · 10/12/2023 17:18

Face masks and some fancy shampoo that were supposed to be going in a Xmas stocking.

Ihateslugs · 10/12/2023 17:39

A tube of sweeteners that were in my kitchen cupboard before I packed up everything ready for new kitchen to be fitted. Six weeks later when I unpacked they had disappeared.

A new tube of toothpaste I ordered in my online grocery shop last week, I don’t remember unpacking it but it was shown as an item on the receipt. Did I leave it in a crate, did the packers lose it before sending out the crates or I have stashed it in a random place in my house? I’ve ordered another tube for the next delivery so no doubt the missing one will turn up then!

BrandNewBicep · 10/12/2023 17:56
