Old batteries (to be recycled but should be beside my bed atm)
Chocolate coins for a stocking (I definitely haven't eaten them)
My wallet (bugger!)

What is lost in your house today?

P.s. I rarely lose stuff so I'm perplexed!

Three pairs of curtains, dammit.
They’re small sheer ones that get washed and hung up again immediately.
This time the painter was coming and I’ve put them who knows where…

DD’s ugly Christmas jumper. Not a huge loss.
My lovely glass jug. Probably with the curtains.

Purplecatshopaholic · 10/12/2023 18:08

My mojo, lol. Need to get my act together!

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 10/12/2023 18:16

Bank card. Being using Apple Pay for months now.

SnapdragonToadflax · 10/12/2023 19:19

My son's swimming kit. Where the fuck is it?!

whatausername · 10/12/2023 19:31

Found my wallet and the stockings! But what about the bra and chocolate coins!?

Wishing you all luck in your searches.

The Christmas cards! All ideas welcome, I've turned the house upside down!

blackoverbillsmothers · 10/12/2023 20:02

My wedding ring which had to be cut off when my fingers swelled suddenly when I was pregnant. I remember putting it somewhere ‘safe’ until I took it to be repaired. Wish I’d just put it in my jewellery box. I mean why wouldn’t I?

Ah see, that would have been logical, that's why not 😉

A parcel which arrived on Wednesday for dp. He is away during tbe week atm so I put it on his post pile. Is it there nope. Spent the weekend hunting for it to no avail

LittleGreenDuck · 10/12/2023 20:23

Socks. DS has a habit of taking them off and leaving them strewn around the house. They rarely meet their other half again.

megletthesecond · 11/12/2023 17:40

I have found the missing Xmas box!! It has mincemeat BBE 2020 in there. It'll be fine once cooked....

mumonthehill · 11/12/2023 17:43

My address book- no chance of doing the Christmas cards now and feel so bad every time one arrives! My Uniglo black jump dress, the most perfect dress lost somewhere.....

Turns out what I thought was in the parcel wasn't it. So that panic is over. However, I'm still convinced there was a small blue parcel which arrived and has disappeared. All parcels and post is now accounted for so no idea what was in the lost parcel

ConstantRain · 14/12/2023 21:29

My organisation skills.
My ability to read to read a book

TooFondOfBooks · 14/12/2023 21:39

I suspect that Nargles are behind it…

mercury retrograde, just started yesterday, so will be felt more intensely for a couple of days!

Forgetfulness, technology breaking, miscommunication, travel plans go askew, delays, losing objects etc.

fluffylittlebear · 14/12/2023 21:43

It lasts about three weeks. Worse at first, eases up a bit, gets a little worse again then should be over in about three weeks.

ViaRia01 · 14/12/2023 21:52

It’s funny you should ask. My toilet brush is nowhere to be found!

I went to the toilet but I left the door open to listen out for my toddler. He came in the bathroom and started pottering around and before I knew it he was waving around the toilet brush and he got away with the brush before I could retrieve it. By the time I left the bathroom, he no longer had it and it cannot be found. I’ve looked EVERYWHERE.

I asked him to show me where he put it and he was enthusiastically ‘helping’ me look for it but no joy.

He’s only 2 and so I’m not sure if he even remembers where it is, if he understands what I’m asking for help with….

Soonenough · 14/12/2023 22:00

Selection boxes I can't find where I put them
Light up garland for bannister
A bodysuit I wanted to return
My black puffer jacket- think DIL has it , she has one the same but mine would be too big if she puts it on
My patience with myself for not remembering where this stuff is.

DimplesToadfoot · 14/12/2023 22:00

My slotted spoon, I've had it for 30+ years, it's the tool I use for everything in the kitchen, draining peas, stirring pasta, dishing up etc and it's just vanished! Poof! Gone! I've had the kitchen upside down looking for it but no joy. I've had to buy another but it's just not the same.

I lost my nutcrackers for a few years, they turned up in my knicker drawer of all places so I do have hope of finding my spoon one day year.

MaBellOnDaLoose · 14/12/2023 22:03

A set of keys. They've been missing for months:(

Dragonfly909 · 14/12/2023 22:03

We have lost 3 Christmas hats, which we definitely had last year, and an outdoor broom (pretty big item to lose but its nowhere to be seen).

newrubylane · 14/12/2023 22:08

My debit card. Definitely somewhere in my house. No idea where.

All of my children's school socks. They just take them off and scatter them around the house.

One of my gloves.
