How many people are you spending Christmas Day with?

And where will you be?
We’re hosting and there’ll be 6 of us this year.
10/12 on Boxing Day though.

I am hosting this year. Christmas day will be 9 of us and Boxing Day will be 7 of us

At home all morning with my two young adult DC.
DH away working.
One DC going to partners at lunchtime.
The other going to friends at 5pm.
Will take the dog to the beach then.

Just me and the cat. the way I've always wanted it but this is the first year I've successfully engineered it. I've told lies to various folk who would otherwise invite me as to where I'll be.

Netflix will be good - 2 biggies out that day - I plan to start with Ricky Gervais Armageddon and then watch the news series of Bridgerton.

The cat and I live just ourselves happily all year so I don't see why we should do anything else on Christmas Day.

Doubtless I will also spend some time reading all your threads on here about awful gifts/partners/kids/families ironically!

Me, dh, ds1 (24) and his fiancé, dd (22) ds2 (20) and my dad

boxing day we will swap my dad for his (though his dad won’t be there more than a few hours)

and then on the 29th there will be 17 of us

If I had my way, I'd have a beloved DH with me as well as said cat but I never met anyone. Maybe I should pop in to assist @anybloodyname with her 1200 imprisoned ones!

17, DH’s side. At least I’m not hosting. Travelling 6hrs to get there :(. I’m trying to get a better attitude but not looking forward to it really.

6, maybe 7 of us. Me, 2 x teenage DDs, Mum, Dad, sister and possibly my godmother.

I always host, just trying to work up the enthusiasm for it!

8 of us in the house. We will be all together. Dbro and his girlfriend will pop out to visit her parents during the day but will have dinner with and games with us. It’s been like this for year. Giver or take a family member or two.

5 on Christmas Day, just us and my dad. Two more guests on Boxing Day, then my dad's partner joining us from 27th to 31st. I can't wait for my lovely dad to arrive on the 20th, our Christmas starts then ❤️

We never have guests on Xmas day, we just have a nice family dinner, but there are 7 of us, 6 adults and a teen, so it will be lively enough.

8 of us on Xmas day, we're hosting my sister, her partner and 2 kids who are coming up on Xmas eve.

They'll be going home on Boxing day, when we'll recover from the chaos ready to head yp to OH's family on the 27 th. His birthday on the 28 th so 10 of us on that day.

Just me and a small person at home. It's my second Christmas since DH died and I think I am ready to face it as Christmas this year, last year I just wanted it to all go away after a horrendous Christmas 21 when DH was at home and dying. I will see the adult kids at some point over Christmas but they are off doing there own thing on the big day thankfully (DH wasn't their dad), I am not exactly filled with joy about the day but I am not full of dread this year either.

@anybloodyname so I'd my DH. I will spend the day on my own having had our Christmas Day with DH, DS, DDIL & DHD on the 23rd.

I'm a nurse in a high security prison so it's quite unpredictable
I may have a day of assaults , horrific self harm and cell fires to deal with
Or it may be calm , good spirits and banter

I've had both and been spat at one Xmas Day by someone I'd just sutured together to save his life ☹️

I say . I'm not fat I'm just very thick skinned

The first visitors arrive this Sunday and by next weekend we'll have 8 people in the house. That drops down slightly between Christmas and New Year for one night only before I host a sleepover for my teenager's birthday (not sure of the numbers, possibly up to 12 people in the house), drops down again briefly then we'll have 11 staying for New Year then back down to just us on the 3rd.
