Are you concerned that the white population is declining ?

I am not white and this is a healthy discussion!

The last consensus in the UK showed a decline in the white British population. This is similar to the USA which will see only around 50% of a white population by 2045. Whites are also on the decline in South Africa.

Putin has recently called for Russian women to have 8 or more babies.

Is this the right approach, what action, if any should be taken or is this just part of ‘evolution’?

i just wondered how white families felt about this? I would be quite upset if my race was on the decline

I don't think they necessarily prefer to cluster together. I think they are often forced to by economic necessity and lack of welcome.
White flight is a thing.

@Frocksinsocks the culture. We have other races in our family white and black..it's nothing to do with colour.

I read the piece of research that this news item was based on. The 2021 census had a lot more choices about how responders identify in terms of race. Also, as it was done online, there was more scope for responders to fill in the "other" box. The results were compared with the 2001 census, when there was no internet social media or resources for people to see different options that they could choose in addition to "white British". The question asks how one identifies, and identity is pretty subjective. I personally identify as white European (half my ancestors were German). I know 2 children from a mixed race family who identify differently (ie one as black and the other as white). So I'm not sure that "white British" is declining, but perhaps fewer people are identifying as such. That should be a concern if it is true! Have we become a nation that citizens are reluctant to be associated with?

The expression that worries me more is "decline in indigenous British" (seen in some news reports) Who are they? How far back are we going to find them? Our nation has had immigrants and travellers of all nationalities and colours settling here for forever. I'd bet that even the whitest most ardent nationalist would find a "foreigner" in his family a few hundred years back. Those "foreigner" settlers throughout history have what made us what we are today - the melting pot of trades, skills and abilities that created our industries and vibrant culture. And kept the gene pool healthy!

So no, I'm not concerned about this so-called decline.

I think the moment you equate skin colour with culture, you're already losing the argument. This shouldn't be a out race and skin colour at all, it should be about valuing language, culture and tradition, with the caveat that not all traditions deserve preservation.

Yes, it's sad and the replies are sad. Everyone should love their race. The people who aren't bothered can't be the same people who champion diversity.

@Freudpenis as far as I am concerned there's only one race. The human race. We have enough divisions without needing to argue about skin colour or nationality. That crap gave us two world wars.
