Are you concerned that the white population is declining ?

I am not white and this is a healthy discussion!

The last consensus in the UK showed a decline in the white British population. This is similar to the USA which will see only around 50% of a white population by 2045. Whites are also on the decline in South Africa.

Putin has recently called for Russian women to have 8 or more babies.

Is this the right approach, what action, if any should be taken or is this just part of ‘evolution’?

i just wondered how white families felt about this? I would be quite upset if my race was on the decline

OP posts:
WhatHaveIDoneNo3 · 03/12/2023 20:53

I’m more bothered about the loss/change of British culture rather than the change in peoples skin colour…

YouJustDoYou · 03/12/2023 20:53

No not at all. It;s not about "white" though that's causing problems, it's religion, especially that one which mandates no integration with non-believers etc.

RhubarbandCustardYummyYummy · 03/12/2023 20:54

in the long list of shit I’m worried about this doesn’t even feature

JamSandle · 03/12/2023 20:54

If you replaced this with any other race people would care. But noone cares about white people - as justified by the responses above.

PerkingFaintly · 03/12/2023 20:54

No.

And OP, have you noticed in 2 of the 3 countries in your second paragraph, white people are not an indigenous population?

The fact that white people are currently a majority in the US, and held all the power and still hold much of the wealth of South Africa, is a weird anomalous situation.

Being worried that it these things might not be true forever more is also weird.

LoreleiG · 03/12/2023 20:54

Um, no.

FritataPatate · 03/12/2023 20:55

No, of course not

shearwater2 · 03/12/2023 20:55

No, white people have always been outnumbered in the world, surely? And didn't everyone originate from Africa anyway?

JamSandle · 03/12/2023 20:55

Also if you were a white person asking this you'd be slaughtered and the thread would probably be deleted.

SaturdayGiraffe · 03/12/2023 20:55

White is too broad a term. If you asked if people were concerned that Welsh white people or Cornish white people or Icelandic white people were gradually having fewer generations you may get a different response. The disappearance of a culture is always a bit sad, imo.

avocardigan · 03/12/2023 20:55

No.
I have seen lots of racist posts on social media which start with concern trolling about “the white population in decline” and quickly turn into disgusting racist conspiracy theories and lies so I’m keeping an eye on this thread.

drowninginsick · 03/12/2023 20:57

I don't see it as our race on the decline just a changing of statistics as things change. It's normal healthy and positive for societies to evolve and change

Greenshake · 03/12/2023 20:57

@avocardigan well said. The more I think about this, the more of a provocative post it seems.

Madameprof · 03/12/2023 20:58

I wouldn't consider 'white' to be my 'race'. I'm a member of the human race as are people with all different coloured skin. I find it somewhat strange and disturbing that both white people and black people still see themselves as separate races in this day and age.

jesterdourt · 03/12/2023 20:58

More concerned with the ageing population & the financial implications

Caffeineneedednow · 03/12/2023 20:58

I'm a white woman and I couldn't give a flying fuck

My partner ( and father of my kids) happens to be white but my previous boyfriend was black and if things had been different there is a good chance I could have had mixed race babies

I don't think a us vs them is useful in any shape way or form. And quoting putin as having the right idea 😭🙄

lartghy421 · 03/12/2023 20:59

Couldn't care less. The world is changing. I wouldn't bat an eye if my kids married someone from a "different race". I judge people on their character not the colour of their skin.

Frocksinsocks · 03/12/2023 21:00

Is that you, Putin?

NannyGythaOgg · 03/12/2023 21:01

NO Not remotely. I don't give a fuck what colour people are. Why should I

Leafysuburb · 03/12/2023 21:02

As the world heats up, I'd say it's evolutionarily sensible for white (translucent) people like me to die out. I am not going to survive a world of 50 degree heat.

JamSandle · 03/12/2023 20:55

And your point is?

In answer to the OP - no.

neilyoungismyhero · 03/12/2023 21:02

Truthfully yes, a bit...although I wonder if that makes me sound racist? I love England. I love the English sense of humour and all our English ways..I've lived abroad and missed home for those reasons. The country I lived in had its own definite culture and I admired that. I think we are losing our 'englishness' hugely ...I also think we're sleepwalking into oblivion to be honest, but I'm an older person and maybe it doesn't matter to the newer generations.

Kim066 · 03/12/2023 21:03

I couldn't care less what colour peoples skin is. I do care though that the values I grew up with are disappearing.

Frocksinsocks · 03/12/2023 21:03

@neilyoungismyhero Is it the culture that you'd miss or the colour of your skin?

Tatumm · 03/12/2023 21:06

I agree with this.
