My heart is breaking for the parents of those four boys. Their sons look so lovely. What a waste.

Boys in cars are still every parent’s nightmare aren’t they?

It's so desperately sad. My heart goes out to the families. 🙁

LakeTiticaca · 21/11/2023 18:42

Heartbreaking. 4 lovely looking young men .
The worst nightmare
Rest in peace lads xx

Thorinfling · 21/11/2023 18:43

My son is the same age, he wondered why I gave him such a huge hug when he came in from college. I felt totally sick when I saw the update. Those poor poor families, just gut-wrenchingly devastating.

Incredibly sad. My thoughts are with their family and friends. (Also with the emergency services who have had to deal with this.) Tragic.

ChristmasShopping23 · 21/11/2023 18:44

It is awful and what everyone was dreading today as the story emerged.

Doyouthinktheyknow · 21/11/2023 18:45

Horrific, what an utter tragedy😢 So young!

I have boys and my god, it’s made me count my blessings this evening.

Those poor families😞

tsmainsqueeze · 21/11/2023 18:45

Their beautiful faces .

AvengedQuince · 21/11/2023 18:48

My son is the same age, its heartbreaking, those poor families 😔

Nowherenew · 21/11/2023 19:04

It’s so sad!

How quickly life can change.

The only silver lining is that wherever they are now, they are together 💐

SquatBetty · 21/11/2023 19:08

This is so sad. I was really hoping they'd all be found alive and well.

lollipoprainbow · 21/11/2023 19:10

Terribly sad. Reminds me of the four boys who died in the car crash in Sweden viola beach.

MrsKwazi · 21/11/2023 19:12

Truly a tragedy.

That's what I thought too. Awful as it is at least they all went together.

Angrycat2768 · 21/11/2023 19:19

Absolutely tragic. I can't imagine what their parents are going through. I have boys too. It's not even boys with cars, but their mates with cars and a taste of independence . One of them didn't tell his patents where they were going, probably because they wouldn't have let him go. How on earth do you protect them from that confidence of youth? Poor boys. Their whole lives ahead of them.

sazzy5 · 21/11/2023 19:21

It is absolutely heartbreaking. My DS is the same age, just learnt to drive, it’s scary being a Mum. May those 4 boys RIP.

Samcro · 21/11/2023 19:21

Such a tragedy

ExpressYourElf · 21/11/2023 19:24

Absolutely tragic, devastating

RubySunset82 · 21/11/2023 19:24

As PP said the confidence of youth how do we protect them? And how many precarious situations did we all get into as children/young adults and we were just lucky?

Prayers and thoughts with the families and as PP said emergency services. Harrowing and heartbreaking time.

ToddlerMumma · 21/11/2023 19:25

This news has really got to me for some reason. The poor families. The poor boys in their final moments. Just horrific. So sad

Notmanyleft · 21/11/2023 19:29

@lollipoprainbow
”At least they all went together” WTAF???? There’s no “at least” here.

SkyFullofStars1975 · 21/11/2023 19:29

I shed a tear watching the news. Their young faces, with their whole lives ahead of them.

The horror for their families. I have no words.

StiffyByngsDogBartholomew · 21/11/2023 19:31

One of the 6th form that left DDs school in the summer was killed in a car crash recently. The last time I saw her she was singing in their chamber choir. So tragic the loss of these young lives before they have really begun.

LightSpeeds · 21/11/2023 19:33

So sad. Poor boys and their poor families and friends.

PersonaNonGarter · 21/11/2023 19:33

And I am not really sure about ‘Rest in Peace’. I think of all the fun they’ve missed out on.

I’d like them to Rest in Good Times forever.

It’s so terribly sad. What a tragedy.

My boys were driving at 17 and I was always terrified of them being in a car full of their mates.

Those poor parents. First the panic when they realised they were missing, then the worst possible news.
