Just stepped out of mine and made a note that if someone broke into mine they would find designer prescription sunshades, designer regular sunshades, a cheap pair of glasses, a coin purse with about 50 quid in it, 2 dog leads, an umberela, a denim jacket and shopping bags.

Wellington boots, a torn picnic blanket and an unwashed whole Ryeland fleece in a binbag.

Iizzyb · 19/11/2023 16:17

My yoga mat and blanket, an empty bag from the bakery yesterday, sausage roll remnants mixed with bits of Aldi crisps... i am just scruffy!

Flatbellyfella · 19/11/2023 16:24

A trip to the undertaker.

HalloweenIsDone · 19/11/2023 16:30

Shopping bags and trolley coins

Elendel · 19/11/2023 16:38

A SatNav so old it cannot be updated anymore, three CDs (two of which are home-made), a squeegee and a sponge, some windscreen wash, a bit of de-icer and a broken wing mirror. I doubt they'd take any of it XD

SpikyHatePotato · 19/11/2023 16:41

Hiking boots, rucksack and ski pole
Big coat
Bag of 'car stuff' - scraper, glass cleaner, screenwash, blue roll
Bird book, mini binoculars
Road atlas
Mini Christmas tree and decorations- needs taking out, I just haven't got around to it

Paddleboarder · 19/11/2023 16:43

Some rubbish and two old books meant for charity.

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 19/11/2023 16:45

Thank you for this thread @Psychoticbreak - you've just reminded me there's a wedge of cheese in the boot!!

Other than that, not a lot. Kids car seat, whatever mcdonalds chips may be under said car seat, and a nest of phone charger cables - but none that fit my phone.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 19/11/2023 16:49

Not mine, but my DS1 car was broken into last week in Manchester and all they stole was MY blue badge( tucked into visor)

MargaretThursday · 19/11/2023 16:50

Plastic bags for shopping. Probably a waterbottle as the dc tend to forget them regularly. Crumbs and old wrappers.

AzureBlue99 · 19/11/2023 16:51

A crap pair of sunglasses, a packet of tissues, a pen and notepad , humbugs, small tube of handcream, hand sanitiser, an hum bag, some bags for life. That's it.

cardibach · 19/11/2023 16:54

Night driving glasses, walking boots, a waterproof and a cardigan.
Also lots of choral sheet music…

princefamilypaper · 19/11/2023 16:54

A million half snacks from my toddler, a few teddies, some sticks and random toys. Every week I clean it out and say next week will be different and it never is

Crumpleton · 19/11/2023 16:54

3 umbrellas, wollen hats, can of de-icer, micro fiber cloths, leather wipes, few loose coins, various reusable shopping bags, large IKEA blue bags.

CesareBorgia · 19/11/2023 16:57

Leaflet for the NRM, spare bag for life, various cloths for wiping window and portable ashtray full of fag ends.

Popetthetreehugger · 19/11/2023 17:00

A big bag of bedding on its way to the ferret rescue. 2 child seats bags for life in the boot and phone charger and a huge half eaten bag of crisps … ready salted in the middle bit . Needs a good clean , but doing a tip run on Wednesday with the rose bushes Iv been giving the eye to today.

Chemenger · 19/11/2023 17:03

A box with three extension cables that charity shops don't want, the peel from a satsuma (nobody knows where this came from, I don't eat fruit in the car because I can't cope with having sticky hands), a phone charging cable, a nylon shopping bag, a box of tissues and half a very old bottle of iced tea. There might be a pen, but only if I don't need one, if I do need one it will not be there. It's Schrodinger's pen. I have previously had prescription sunglasses stolen out of a car, which was very annoying.

A wet bum!

Anyone know the most likely place (apart from.an obvious tear which there isnt) for a roof leak on an MX5?

Rubber seals?

GreenhouseGarden · 19/11/2023 17:06

A dog towel, a sudoku book and an umbrella. Possible a water bottle.

happyasaseagullstealingchips · 19/11/2023 17:07

6 buttermints

anon2134 · 19/11/2023 17:07

Empty sweetie packets and lots of crumbs

Gazelda · 19/11/2023 17:08

A box of covid tests.
About 5 pairs of sunnies (cheap)
50,000,000,000 bags for life
An ice scraper
A back seat strewn with leaflets to do with my work.

Chemenger · 19/11/2023 17:09

I lived for a while in a flat with an unsecured underground carpark. My car was broken into several times, after the first time, when they stole my prescription sunglasses and the radio, there was never anything at all in the car to take. They still broke in in the clumsiest and most expensive ways possible to check that I hadn't hidden anything under the seats. I fully formulated an undetectable way of murdering car thieves to deal with them but in the end I moved instead and parked in the street where I had no problems.

Worriedkittycat · 19/11/2023 17:09

A bin bag almost full of rubbish that I'll take out when it's full and replace with another bag ready to fill.

A scooter and coat. A pound coin. A half eaten Twirl and about a dozen bbq Hula Hoops spilt on the floor in the back.

Gingerwarthog · 19/11/2023 17:10

A pair of flippers, a plastic yellow lizard and a learn German textbook.
