If someone broke into your car right now what would they get?

Just stepped out of mine and made a note that if someone broke into mine they would find designer prescription sunshades, designer regular sunshades, a cheap pair of glasses, a coin purse with about 50 quid in it, 2 dog leads, an umberela, a denim jacket and shopping bags.

My car was once broken into and they stole a Barbie-pink bag with my (very expensive) tap shoes in it. They kept the (valueless) bag, but threw the tap shoes on the ground beside the car.

happystory · 19/11/2023 15:54

Bags for life, a few pound coins for the trolley and a tin of Mints.

Topseyt123 · 19/11/2023 15:55

A load of reusable bags in the boot plus an old dog lead.

A Donald Duck on the back seat. I think there might also be a fluffy toy giraffe. I don't even have small children anymore - all now in their twenties.

wonkylegs · 19/11/2023 15:55

5p, usb cable and a kids car seat
It's brand new so nothing much has been left in it yet but noticed when I popped out earlier that 5p has escaped from my purse in the footwell.

I've just remembered that in the early noughties my car was broken into. They had a good rummage, left my cd's on the chair and stuff, and clearly left in disgust because there was nothing worth taking!

Mountainhowl · 19/11/2023 15:57

A dog harness, an empty cookie packet, kids car seat and 2 Christmas presents worth a total of £20. Plus more rubbish!

Ohh if they found the little cubby in the boot there's my mini air compressor for doing tyres 😂

DustyMaiden · 19/11/2023 15:58

A punch on the nose.

Papillon23 · 19/11/2023 16:00

Sleeping bag, wellies and some tinned food from a long drive I had to do recently in the bad weather.

Two packets of biscuits I've bought for the builders.

Piles of general crap like old trainers and an ancient coat in case I get stuck in the car.

A sat nav from 2013 which I haven't used for about 5 years.

Shadowsindarkplaces · 19/11/2023 16:00

Mud covered dog hammock, sweet wrappers, water bottle, dog bowl and an abundance of dog hair!

Ohmylovejune · 19/11/2023 16:01

A wet bum!

Anyone know the most likely place (apart from.an obvious tear which there isnt) for a roof leak on an MX5?

Not much apart from a very old pair of sunglasses, which are just a spare in case it's really sunny and I forget mine, and any stuff the DCs have left in there.

FuckinghellthatsUnbelievable · 19/11/2023 16:14

Yesterdays swimming kit. Sweet wrappers and the emergency £20.

Ponderingwindow · 19/11/2023 16:15

Tissues. An ice scraper.

AllLopsided · 19/11/2023 16:15

@DatingDinosaur thank you but unfortunately it's obligatory where I live to carry the certificate of car ownership and insurance documents in the car. Will have to think of a different place for the spare key.

Floralnomad · 19/11/2023 16:15
