Someone give me a kick up the bum to go clean the bathroom

Exactly that really. Need a kick up the bum. I made the mistake of curling up in bed mooching around on my phone and listening to the radio after lunch.

Perfect opportunity to get stuck into the giving the bathroom a much needed clean without being interrupted. DH is out kayaking. DS has taken over the living room playing FIFA. Zero motivation.

I love cleaning my home and making it all cosy so I can then relax and do what I want in comfort. Light some nice candles and think of a reward for when you have done it!

I need to do mine too. Have done about 11 loads of laundry, and made dinner for later, but really, really don’t want to get scrubbing.

I listen to a true crime or ghost story type YouTube video when I'm doing a household job I hate.

Put a good podcast on and get to it😀I have cleaned bathroom and shower room before and after lunch whilst listening to radio 4 abridged adaptation of Daniel Finkelstein's "Hitler, Stalin, Mum and Dad." And then I used my audible credit to buy the full book which I started whilst cleaning the kitchen sink. DH had mopped the kitchen floor, vacuumed and cleared the shower and bath plug outlets ( which make me retch) so I had no excuse. Now going out for a guilt free mooch around Boots and the M&S food hall for an hour.

Me too. I also tell my self, I'll just clean half the bathroom. Then I end up doing the lot. Then I light some candles and get in the bath and have a glass of wine or scotch, some chocolate and continue listening. I like uncanny or the Ring is on BBC Sounds right now.

It's Sunday. A day of rest... The bathroom will still be there tomorrow.

I like end result of cleaning. Usually not bad with the cleaning but this week has been so busy and not caught up with it. Sort of enjoying the downtime this lazy Sunday I think is the problem.

He's only ten. Not trained him to make a cuppa yet.

I was about to say 😆 I've done the laundry, stripped the beds, remade the beds, and washed dishes this morning ✔️ just the bathroom....Oh and downstairs loo could also do with a clean.

I need to do our shower room as well. Only I've let the shower slide which means it needs a really, really good scrub and I haven't got the energy.

I've even ironed all the school shirts for next week to put off doing the bathroom!

I make a fuss about doing the bathroom too.

It's taking you longer to moan and put it off than it takes to do it.
You'll feel so good when it's done.
And next time you need a pee you can go and do it and enjoy your clean bathroom.

I’ve stripped wallpaper all weekend. Living room, hallway and 2.5 bedrooms. I’ll take a cuppa if anyone’s making.

I need to do mine too but I had a big bowl of soup at lunch and now I feel too warm and sleepy.

So your DH is out kayaking and your DS is playing FIFA and you get to spend your Sunday afternoon...... cleaning the communal bathroom, lovely.

So when do you get to spend time on your hobbies, or do you always get the good jobs like cleaning the bog? No one ever wished they'd done more cleaning on their deathbed, I vote that you curl up with a hot chocolate, or wine, some nibbles and a good book/podcast/film and relax. The communal bathroom can be done tomorrow, maybe by your DH.

I just mopped mine and did the shower. Ran some loo cleaner around the toilet. Took 15 minutes. Set a timer and do what you can. Don’t stress about finishing it. Mine needs a more thorough go over but I CBA. The toddler is ill and was up all night. I also have a baby. So feet up and third cuppa of the day.
