Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. The washer's on already and I washed half of last night's pots while the kettle boiled. I'll have a tidy round shortly.

We're off for a stomp round a local lake today. Dd1 has an induction for her new job at 11, so she'll go to that and then head to meet us when she's done. She's just getting sorted now.

Dd2's having a rough time mentally atm, so I'm hoping the fresh air & open space might give her the space to just talk. Hopefully the weather won't get any worse - I don't mind wandering in grey & drizzley weather, I don't want to get soaked though!

Pizzas for tea tonight then I have a couple of crafty things for school I really need to crack on with finishing! There are lots of peg people sat on my kitchen table atm, needing their features adding.

Probably a fairly early night, as always. I want to do my nails though so might do that beforehand - if not, I'll do them in the day tomorrow.

Having a morning scroll in bed while boy cat kicks me in his sleep under the covers.

I have an exam on Tuesday so my day is taken up with with very dull study. Might go for a swim later to get some exercise. DH and I will probably have a few beers out this evening but nothing major.

morning @lucysmam Not much today I've just had a text saying my click and collect is ready I can't even be bothered going so chilling at home , it's quick chicken supreme out a packet for tea then strictly.

I'm sorry your Dd is having a tough time hopefully it passes quickly.

Good morning!! I've done a quick clothes wash this morning, tidied downstairs and a little mop, steamed outfits for the day (off to a wedding!), fed the pets and taken in some parcels for the next door neighbours. Feels very productive writing that down! Now having a coffee before shower and prep for the wedding, need to leave at half ten.

Your day sounds lovely, hope the walk goes well and your DDs enjoy the fresh air! Pizza for tea sounds good 😌

I'm hoping to be home for midnight ish, will probably end up going home via some sort of takeaway for my DH and the friends we're giving a lift - I'm the designated driver for tonight, fingers crossed it's a fun wedding 😂

Good morning! The weather is awful here so I'm doing some cleaning! Hoping it will ease off soon so ds2 and I can take the puppy for a walk on the beach, he absolutely loves it there. Then shopping, crocheting and waiting for Strictly 😁

Morning! We've taken the dog for a walk, been to the shop and now we're watching bloody Bluey.
Later we're going to the allotment. Not very exciting today.

I hope dd feels better for the walk. I have suffered with depression and anxiety at various points and the best thing I've found for it is to get out and walk.solvitur ambulando-as my lovely Latin tutored Grampa used to say-'it is solved by walking' and happen he was right.
I am still in bed as I've had a bastard ear infection all week. I've just ordered a ton of birch twigs from the wholesale florist as I'm planning a sort of Christmas door arch thing and it will require branches and more of them than I will be able to get for free (or carry home) in the woods. It will either look amazing or like a total disaster zone but we'll see.
Up shortly and going to get my nails done, then pick up my second set of antibiotics. Dh has taken dss2 to football, they will be back at lunchtime and then we are all 6 going to a Christmas barn near us for the kids to choose their this years Tree baubles. Dh will moan as he hates Christmas but the rest of us love it so he'll have to wear it! It's quite rare for us all to be in together at the weekends as the DD's are at work or out with their pals mostly and the DSS's have football all over the place, so today is our best chance.
Both DD's at work 4-11.30 tonight so will take them, then try to finish my bathroom decorating (now in week 4 as I haven't had time/felt much like doing it and it's now driving me mad), and then go and get them again when they finish.
The dogs need walking but they don't seem to fancy it much in the rain, and nor do I!

I didn't sleep well, so sitting in bed on my laptop, but my battery is about to run out.

When I get up I will continue painting my doll house. I will spend some time with my Grandson too. Late afternoon my friend is coming over. My husband is going to cook for us whilst we drink wine!

Good morning, me and the dog have been on a run, its starting to get colder here, so the pavements and roads get covered in actual grit (small stones) to stop you slipping.

We’re having our daughters second birthday party today, the theme we’ve gone for is “we don’t know wtf we’re doing”.

At the moment we’re all being lazy, my husbands still in bed, the smalls are watching TV and the cat is stopping the dog from going back to bed.

We need to start tidying the house as its far too messy for visitors at the moment.

I hope everyone manages to enjoy their Saturday.

I have just got home after a body combat class, on my own as DH is away and DS2 has gone to see DS 1 for the weekend. Tidied all my cupboards yesterday but ran out of energy to do any cleaning so today i am changing beds and giving the kitchen a thorough clean. Once the house is clean and tidy i plan a shower then chill in-front of some mindless drivel on tv before an early night in my clean sheets 😀

Good morning all. I’m shattered today as I took my elder 3 to the cinema last night to watch the new Hunger Games film but it was a late showing so we didn’t get home until 1am then dd9 woke me up around 7am.

I’m still on the sofa in my pjs with my third cup of tea waiting for my Tesco delivery which is due any minute.

I’ve no plans for today really. Dh is at work and dd19 will be off to work this afternoon. I need to clean downstairs and make a steak pie for tea but I have no plans other than that.

Tonight I intend to open a bottle of wine and watch a Christmas film before getting a relatively early night.

It's grey and drizzly here too, but I'll be watching ds1 play rugby this afternoon regardless - it's a home match though so at least there's no big drive. Dh is at work but hopefully ds2 will join me.
I've already made chilli and put it in the slow cooker for dinner and had a tidy round. I was thinking of attempting some Christmas shopping this morning but I think I'll just take a wander into town and see if anything catches my eye.

Good morning @lucysmam and everyone, it’s a grey start here. So far I have changed the bed, cleaned the bathroom and toilet, put a load of washing on and emptied the bins.
I need to tidy up downstairs and clean the fridge, I also have at least 3 more loads of washing.
DH says he’ll walk the dog but he’s not moved yet 😡
Looking forward to spending the afternoon crocheting 😊

Sorry to hear your DD is struggling, hopefully some fresh air will lift her spirits.

Ive just sat down with my second coffee, load of washing in. DD has gone out for the day with her grandma, DS has just surfaced and will no doubt be gaming soon.

I have an assignment to write, it’s due in on Thursday but there’s a lot going on in my personal life at the moment and I just can’t get motivated. I’ve set aside 10am-2pm today to at least break the back of it. Pizza for tea, and then a relaxing night in front of the TV hopefully.

I'm just in bed still. I went to bed late after watching the Big Brother final and Late/Live shows. And before that i was out in the cold with my teen son (who is an amateur photographer) doing night photography. So I was especially shattered. I had a strange dream where I woke up with a bloody knife in my hand, so I'm processing that!!

Today I'm having a chilled one. We were planning to go to a Christmas fair, but it's pouring with rain and I might stay in and do gentle tidying and piano playing instead.

@Kim82 what did you think of the film? I’m going next weekend!

Morning all! Have been up with the baby from about 8.30 - she must know it's the weekend and let us have a lie in. Breakfast is finished, and will have a shower when DH gets in from his run.

Rough plan for today is some DIY. Baby is finally moving into her own room, and I am keen to get it cleared out and painted for her before she moves in. Likely will mean a trip to B&M and Tesco for me while DH assembles her new cot.

@Kim82 what did you think of the Hunger Games film? We've been a huge fan of the books and the other films in this house but some of the reviews have been shocking. Don't want to go if we're likely to be disappointed!

In bed poorly- DM has made me breakfast on bed and DP has taken DD5 swimming.
Hoping to pull myself together as my friend is coming over later to plan a holiday and then I'm baby sitting for DS tonight!

Not very much judging by the weather. I would have liked to go into town and meet my friend then come home and do a bit more gardening but as the weather is so awful, I won't be doing that.

I may do a bit of baking later on if I can be bothered, thought I might make some fairy cakes with icing on the top to cheer myself up. 😁

Morning. I went out to Tesco’s early. It’s going to be wet here all day so I just wanted to get it done so I could come back and cosy up.

DH is just off of nights so he’ll be awake in a couple of hours. DS is working 2-10 and DD is about to leave for a weekend at friend’s house.

I’ve got some gentle chores to do in a bit. Laundry and a bit of meal prep. The rest of the day will be reading and drinking coffee.

DH will walk the dog later. We’ve got chilli for dinner.

Morning all! Grey and low cloud here a very slow day in the offing.
Was up ridiculously early for a Saturday as I can't seem to switch to lie in mode. Still it has meant 3 coffee's in bed.
DH has to go and do half a day's work at one of his gardens. I need to take some jeans back to Next that my DD couldn't bear because they have stretch in them and she likes rigid! Think she has some sensory issues but it's frustrating when she won't shop!
Will pop into M&S and get some of their buttermilk crunchy chicken for tea to go in wraps with fries and salad.
Might see if I can persude a DD to come with but unlikely as DD 14 has another cold and DD 16 is tired from college.
My poor DD had covid mid October and then has had 3 colds following. The Dr said she would have low immunity for about 3 months after covid.
May pick up some vitamins when I am out to force on her.
Later we will light the log burner and try and find a film we agree on.

Lazy day here today, I will be mostly in bed. Would like to get my Christmas planner out and do some present shopping though.

DH is about to take the children swimming so I get an hour of peace at least.

Strictly later and chilli for tea. And thanks to Past Me it's already made and in the freezer, so a win there!

Pretty standard Saturday; dog walked then DD dragged out of bed for school. Horse done and sat with 2nd coffee contemplating housework and trying to avoid it.
DD home at 12.30 so quick back sarnie before horse riding, doing some shopping for my parents who are both poorly. Back to the yard then quick shower before heading to local pub for pizza night.
Hoping to catch some of Strictly but highly doubt it.
Crash into bed around 9pm.

I've been up since 8, usual Saturday routine of tea on the couch, getting a uniform wash on etc.

Ive got some vinted parcels to post and also some to collect so might do that today, or tomorrow.

This afternoon we are off to soft play and then going to the in-laws for dinner think they are treating us to a Chinese so Im looking forward to that.

Glass of wine with DH when DC asleep 🙂
