Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone doing today?

I'm just drinking my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. The washer's on already and I washed half of last night's pots while the kettle boiled. I'll have a tidy round shortly.

We're off for a stomp round a local lake today. Dd1 has an induction for her new job at 11, so she'll go to that and then head to meet us when she's done. She's just getting sorted now.

Dd2's having a rough time mentally atm, so I'm hoping the fresh air & open space might give her the space to just talk. Hopefully the weather won't get any worse - I don't mind wandering in grey & drizzley weather, I don't want to get soaked though!

Pizzas for tea tonight then I have a couple of crafty things for school I really need to crack on with finishing! There are lots of peg people sat on my kitchen table atm, needing their features adding.

Probably a fairly early night, as always. I want to do my nails though so might do that beforehand - if not, I'll do them in the day tomorrow.

What about all of you? 🙂

So sorry @Justonedayatatime11 Please don't be too hard in yourself. Little kitten may not have had a long life but sounds like you are a wonderful kitten mummy ❤️

Just read lots of the messages. I am SO nosey! What I noticed was that nearly all of us are planning either pizza or chilli for supper! Is it the weather, I wonder, as we all seem to need something warm and tasty at the moment.
Out for a meal tonight with one of my daughters. Looking forward to that!
Stay safe everyone in this appalling weather.

I'm hungover. Lying on the sofa trying not to vomit! Chinese and Strictly later and an early night.

Hello @lucysmam, I'm sure the walk in the countryside will help brighten DD2's mood, it will blow away the cobwebs hopefully!

It's cold wet and windy here, and I'm feeling sorry for myself, as last night a vicious jar of Geeta's lime pickle leaped out of the fridge and fell on my toe.

I don't think my toe is broken, as I can wriggle it, but it's black & blue, and it hurts to walk on it.
So I'm just going to have a quiet day, I might have a Hunger Games film marathon later, thanks to this thread!

@justalittlesnoel so sorry. Thanks

Ugh @MeinKraft that was me last Saturday. You have my sympathy, it's the pits.

Thanks for the well wishes for dd - we're on our way to meet dd1 now 😊

Just took the dog to his favourite pet shop to get some presents as he’s 11 today and now being driven fucking mental with the squeak from the ball he helped himself to from a tub

Then to butchers and Aldi

Husband has started baking every Saturday - today he’s making sausage rolls and pies so leaves me to just chill out , I might put a Christmas film on if the dog eventually stops or kills the squeak

Morning all

Lazy day for us too - I took DS1 to football training this morning and then me and DSD went to pick him up - he was FILTHY! Popped into Sainsbury’s for a few bits and to get DSD’s passport photo taken. While I was doing that DP took the dog out and made full English brunch for us all.

Now all the kids are upstairs, I think the three boys are playing fifa and DSD is working on her Christmas list. I’ve tidied the kitchen and prepped the chicken and vegetables for fajitas tonight and am scrolling on the sofa with DP snoring gently beside me…

Baby had her 12 month vaccinations yesterday (2 in each thigh) so she has been feverish for 24 hours and needed loads of cuddles and calpol.

Not even got out of my pj's today!

I did start on labelling my turkey tail tincture I made though.
