To be honest, I think the better metaphor might be where there is a very online activist campaign to have Japanese knotweed sold in garden centres and regular trap thread trying to prove that gardeners are simply bigoted and misinformed about this beautiful and edible plant by insisting it’s a weed, and a problematic one. Especially where those very online activists were very keen to prove that the plants gardeners choose are equally if not more problematic than knotweed.

So a ‘guess what I found in the garden centre…’ and 30 mins later it’s revealed the answer is ‘bamboo, and not the clumping kind’.

"The Mumsnet way" . I'm sure it has made some posters feel very superior but I find it really worrying when it comes from people who say they care about women's rights , there is no place in my life for harm like that .

Therein lies your problem. It doesn't matter if it's pistonheads, fb, reddit, games forums or comments under news articles you have to post in the relevant area. You can't go around posting whatever you like whenever you like without some form of consequence, which is usually the "why have you posted that here" type questions.

The onus is on you to familiarise yourself to the sm you are wanting to post on. It's not that difficult.

OP if you genuinely feel you are being bullied you could ask to have the whole thread removed by reporting your original post. In my experience MN will usually remove a thread if it's causing stress / upset to the OP.

The posts you claim to be reporting mustn't be breaking any MN rules in that case, if you are saying that MN won't do anything.
Simple as that really.

Thanks , already tried they refused all they'll do is put it in 30 days . tbh i think MN are more than happy to allow it .

I haven't reported any ones posts I asked for the thread to be removed . They won't .
