Now you have found this bit of the site hang around and read a few of the concerns that are being raised about what is happening to women and womens rights in the UK and the wider world. Believe me, it’s a lot more scarey than a punch up in the ladies, though that must have been horrible to watch.

The things people care about are stuff like what is happening to womens sport, workplace discrimination, the rampant abuse of women on social media, the protection of women only spaces, the clamping down on free speech relating to womens right, womens rights not to be abused or catcalled. All things that affect all women and which all women need to be aware of.

Were they the new type of women? (You know the ones 🍆)

It's not only about trans stuff, but it's also not about every little incident in which a woman or women is involved. Otherwise pretty much every post on Mumsnet would go here!

I'm sure you could try to make some kind of feminism-related point about it, but OP doesn't seem to have bothered.

I suspect the confusion isn’t so much that the OP’s op isn’t about trans stuff but more that a punch up in a toilet amongst women isn’t really a feminist issue either.

I think anything feminism related goes on a 'sex and gender' board, because that's what sexism is about - gender stereotypes forced on women because of their sex.

Yes it was horrible , if the comments I have received on this board are anything to go by then no I won't be hanging around .

OP it must have been alarming being so close to violence, particularly when it escalated and you had a child with you. The only time I've seen women fighting was when my mum took on a neighbour from across the street. I have no idea what they were fighting about. I was only little. Totally out of character for my mum.
