Yes, for sure, Pixie. I just meant I would add the insult to the collection.

I have 'pearl clutcher' 'bigot' 'prude' 'Karen' and various others. <flicks duster>

Signalbox · 09/11/2023 17:16

I mean the feminism (sex and gender) board is quite hard to find. And then with the big reveal focusing on something that happened in a public toilet. I can see why posters were suspicious 😂 unfortunate for OP though if she is a genuine poster.

Mikimoto · 09/11/2023 17:19

I feel snittyyyyy
Oh so snittyyyyy
I feel snitty
And shitty
And poooooo!

Fair enough. Sorry, OP. We thought you were a troll. I hope you and your family are okay.

Thanks for the apology . I will be thinking hard on whether I will continue to use MN.
I've got the idea of protection as a women all wrong , cause that definatly felt like bullying to me and I've experienced way to much of that thanks.

Well, opinions differ.

I think anything feminism related goes on a 'sex and gender' board, because that's what sexism is about - gender stereotypes forced on women because of their sex.

But MN HQ don't agree do they? Isn't that why we have been hived off into naughty corner so we don't startle the horses?

ArthurbellaScott · 09/11/2023 17:30

We got hidden away in this dark and dusty corner because a few posters insisted they couldn't stand to listen to women with opinions they disagreed with and they wanted Feminst Chat to be purged of such.

So we are here, and the Chat board is ... quiet.

Was it like one of those break-out song and dance routines in High School Musical, and all five cubicles doors flew open at once to reveal dancers dressed as The Five Decades of Lulu?

I would love that!

Karensalright · 09/11/2023 17:31

@LavaLamp7

i have had a few verbal slaps on here its part of the sport find it quite fun and good source of learning.

Everybody here is pissed of with the issues of transwomen invading our spaces.

Have a look at previous posts about trans issues worth it.

DelightfullyDotty · 09/11/2023 17:31

@LavaLamp7 the trick with MN is to never start a thread and if you’re commenting, never go back to check for replies! Or only use specific support groups such as Stately Homes.

Alargeoneplease89 · 09/11/2023 17:31

Judging by some responses on here the toilet feels safer 😂

The biggest womens punch up I've ever seen , Two women going at it something about sleeping with the same man 3rd got involved just for asking if one needed help. Me and my sister and her little one got the hell out of there . Never wee'd so fast in my life . Can't believe women are getting more and more aggressive my sister said she's seen it too .

Women are not getting more and more aggressive. You should have seen the punch ups I witnessed in the 70s! Proper hard lasses.

boudiccathecat · 09/11/2023 17:35

Yeah well OP did start a particularly goady style opening

AFieldGuideToTrees · 09/11/2023 17:37

Well the OP's succeeded in getting a thread about nothing in particular with nothing in their OP, and about nothing to do with sex and gender, trending.

So that's a success in someone's eyes, I guess.

IcakethereforeIam · 09/11/2023 17:39

@LavaLamp7 apologies. Was such a cold open, I honestly didn't know where it was going. I do hope you are okay though.

WichenWick · 09/11/2023 17:43

Ah OP, don't take it personally. I have had periods when I've retired injured from MN for a few weeks after a pasting, usually on AIBU. This board is the reason I come back. I think posters were wary you were a troll. We get them a lot and we're probably hypersensitive to TERF baiting, particularly when it's a subject such as single sex toilets.

Anyway, about aggressive women - about 36/37 years ago I was on holiday in Scotland. I rented a room over a pub in Oban for a couple of nights, right by the harbour. There was an almighty punch up outside the pub on the Saturday night while I was up in my room. I peeked gingerly out through the curtains (worried about my car parked outside) and saw that it was mainly women who were fighting, swearing and screaming. So it's not a new phenomenon, although I do think that society generally has become more aggressive.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 09/11/2023 17:43

Nothing actually happened to you....
I'm curious why you didn't report the fight, though? 🤔

Maireas · 09/11/2023 17:32

Agreed. The boy fights involved a lot of fancy footwork and the odd shove but with the girls clothes ripped, jewellery off, each others loose hair in hands, faces scratched and bloodied. Boys were floating like butterflies, girls were two screaming tomcats.

Maireas · 09/11/2023 17:48

I remember a few weeks ago some girls got into a fight at my school and there were clumps of hair everywhere, which made us panic a bit until we realised that they both had hair extensions in!

Itsnotchristmasyet · 09/11/2023 17:49

Imagine fighting over a man!

How embarrassing!

The ironic thing is that he’ll probably fuck them both off for another woman and not give them a second thought.

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 09/11/2023 17:56

I was expecting a full re-enactment of the ladies' toilet scene from Milkman. Which is set in peaceful non-violent 1970s Belfast.

Karensalright · 09/11/2023 18:05

Waiting at the school gates to duff someone up was a common sport in the 70’s when i was at senior school.

I once got duffed up because they wanted my boyfriend, he was not impressed by them.

Maireas · 09/11/2023 18:08

I hope you saw them off, @Karensalright .

I hate it when that happens.

Real news is that Luis Diaz's father has been released by his Columbian kidnappers. So pleased for him.

<No toilets were involved>

Great news.

Topofthemountain · 09/11/2023 18:26

One of the kid's schools had to have a police presence for a while to keep the parents from each other.
