I love going to my yoga classes. They help me regulate my emotions and improve my self esteem.

What's yours?

Running
Swimming
Yoga
Reading
It was the piano and I got myself through grade 2 after not playing for 35 years but then I got a new job and ran out of head space for it. Feel a bit sad about that.

Exercise-Running/weights/Hiking
Reading
Candy crush Blush

I also rescue animals, not sure it’s a hobby but does take up a lot of time and I enjoy it so maybe it is.

Spending too much time on Mumsnet

SingingSands · 08/11/2023 14:13

Running - helps me regulate my emotions, just like you OP.

And the gym too - bit of cycling, rowing, weights then a lovely swim afterwards. Just recently got into swimming as I've never enjoyed it but I'm finding it's very mindful.

I crochet and have a little Etsy shop. Thankfully I also have rekindled my love
of reading and have read loads this year.

IHeartGeneHunt · 08/11/2023 14:17

Knitting, I buy copies of vintage patterns (mostly 1940s and 1980s) and knit them.

I constantly go through phases of things. I'm starting back at Pilates classes tonight after a few months off due to personal issues. I also used to go to pole classes which I want to go back to soon. I stopped them when Covid hit, then I gained a lot of weight that's affected my mobility so I'm working on my weight a bit first before I try to go back (finding the time and money are also issues at the moment though).

I do a variety of crafts and rotate through things there too, I have some diamond paintings to finish off and I've just started crocheting myself a cardigan.

I've also just gone back to helping at our local am dram theatre in the wardrobe department. We had a production of Sleepy Hollow last month and it's now panto rehearsals for our run of that in December.

I have a season ticket for our local footy team so I go to most of the home matches too.

Oganesson118 · 08/11/2023 14:26

Probably reading at the moment. I’d like to start a sport or something active. I’ve got issues with running, it messes with my MH, so it has to be something else. Maybe I’ll give ice skating a try.

I like cooking, quizzes and karaoke as well.

quivers · 08/11/2023 14:26

Too many really, but I do them in rotation.

Currently it is stamp collecting, and at the moment I'm sorting out a huge pile of thousands of mostly USA stamps in a storage box that I bought very cheaply at a car boot sale a few weeks ago. Some of them are around 100 years old. I never particularly intended to concentrate on that country, but that's how it's happened.

GreyCarpet · 08/11/2023 17:38

My main hobby is music.

I have band practice once a week, practise at home for probably an hour 2 or 3 times a week and we play a gig probably once a month.

I'd love to set up and run a ukulele group but I'm wary of taking on another commitment at the moment.

Going on holiday - I love travel and look forward to my holidays, enjoy doing the research etc. Currently have a Med cruise booked with a friend in May, and a solo trip to Tenerife next November.

Between these 2 hobbies, my bank account regularly cries...
