For me, I would love to have a family someday.
I'm planning to conceive a baby next year!

I want to be slim and fit .. never achieved either but trying again

Borka · 04/11/2023 19:35

A detached house - I play the lottery sporadically to feel that I'm doing something to make it happen!

SoSad44 · 04/11/2023 19:38

Being skinny, constantly yo-yo dieting and beating myself up about it. The one thing in life I seemingly can’t do (have a nice home, good career, lovely family, money for travel and experiences).

LonelyAndLostToo · 04/11/2023 19:45

To have a companion, but i have given up trying on that front

I also wanted this for decades. I got on Ozempic which worked like magic and I'm the slimmest I've ever been, but still won't recommend.

Why?

Me too. I've decided my own child is what I need. Companions may come and go.

Tried Ozempic, didn’t work for me. I got headaches and nothing else

QuestionTyme · 04/11/2023 20:34

@Comedycook Because I became dependent on it within a few months. When there was a shortage, I was forced to go off it and the food cravings and weight came back with more intensity than I'd ever experienced. I had to pay through my nose to get injections to quickly get back on it.
I know this isn't sustainable and actually feels like being unwilling addicted.
Also, the slimness doesn't look healthy (makes my face bony and hollow) and I feel weak constantly.
I exercise regularly, lead an active life and eating healthy; I always have. I just have never been a weight shedder.
But my goal is to stop the medication before the new year.

I'd like to be taken seriously get VC funding for my business idea that will change lives.

I'm reading, listening and educating myself on how to get to the next stage past the business plan.

Scabber · 04/11/2023 20:45

Good luck OP, I spent a few years having IVF to become an SMBC, sadly didn't work but i'm the only one I know (in real life) who failed xx

DominiqueBernard · 04/11/2023 20:46

Good luck!

DominiqueBernard · 04/11/2023 20:47

Well good luck. 👌
You can do it if you set your mind to it believe me 😁xx

wellthisisakward · 04/11/2023 22:35

@WorkSmarter thank you! oh I totally believe this, I run a business already and have for 20+ years so I'm from the school of hard work. But this is a whole other level of idea.

PermanentTemporary · 04/11/2023 22:40

A healthy BMI. I know that I can do this, I just haven't so far.

TwoBigNoisyBoys · 04/11/2023 22:50

I always wanted a degree, but I dropped out of Manchester Met after 1 term, when I was in my late teens in the 90’s. I finally returned to uni in 2019, and despite having to suspend my studies for a year in 2021, due to having treatment for a breast cancer diagnosis, I graduated with a 1st class (honours) BSc in mental health and well-being earlier this year, and I’m
now studying for an MSc 😊

determinedtomakethiswork · 04/11/2023 22:54

@TwoBigNoisyBoys that's incredible! What an achievement. You should be very proud of yourself. You are setting a great example to your children.

TwoBigNoisyBoys · 04/11/2023 22:55

@determinedtomakethiswork thank you 🥰

Gnomegnomegnome · 04/11/2023 23:09

@TwoBigNoisyBoys congratulations! What’s the MSc?

So this year I wanted a promotion which I got.

Next on my list is good physical and mental health. I go to the gym three times a week but might up it to 4 after Christmas. I was walking at least 10000 steps a day but covid stopped me for a few weeks so I need to get back on track (started today). My diet has also suffered since covid so I need to start eating well again. I meditate daily and have good self care routines.

2024 will be the year that I work towards better health.

MintyCedric · 04/11/2023 23:18

Go to uni. I applied but for family reasons didn’t end up going.

I’ve looked at doing an OU degree but it’s too expensive and time consuming at the moment…hopefully in a few years time.
