Oh yes, I used to have that too! @SqueakyDinosaur.

Sometimes I think these threads are market research in disguise. If so, I want to say Lidl needs to up their scone game. Ideally fresh cheese scones in the bakery but packet will do, too 🙂

Well, if that's the case, can you please please, pretty please bring back the Christmas and cinnamon coffee cappuccinos in a tin! Absolutely loved those and went through many tins years ago, and then couldn't get them any longer.

My yd loves the filled muffins on the bakery aisle, the ones filled with jam and in a grease proof paper folded case.

Their dry hair shampoo is brilliant, as good as Batiste so I'd recommend getting some of them. Their original and floral ones are good.

I know how we all love a shopping list, so here's mine! Smile
I suspect I will come home with some of that and probably a whole load of stuff not on the list....

It's worth downloading the app, there is a little reader for the card at the till and you just scan it (they won't add anything later AFAIK). The app gives you discount vouchers which you scroll through to activate and also digital receipts. I always get a voucher for walnuts because I always buy them. I've sometimes had a money off voucher, too.

Their multipacks of mini french lagers are nice if you fancy an occasional small drink but don't want to open a bottle of wine or a full sized beer.

They sometimes do their own version of the kind of beers you find abroad on holiday.

All of their own brand food is much better quality and better value than the main supermarkets.

Anjelika · 24/10/2023 12:01

The normal size Magnum dupes (especially the Almond ones) are lovely. Have tried every other supermarket's version and nothing comes close. The cornettos too are good.

MyCircumference · 24/10/2023 18:24

i have the app and today receive one free bakery item!

Lightningrain · 24/10/2023 18:30

The Muller corner dupe (vanilla yoghurt with chocolate digestive balls).

Their jars of jalapeños are nicer than other brands and twice the size.

Anything I’ve had from the fresh bakery section has also been amazing as others have said.

Ok, so I didn't buy everything on my list - the individual Camemberts are coated and have sauce on them, so not for me.
What I did get (among other things):
Horton Winter Berries gin (delicious)
A bottle of pinotage (going to try it as I occasionally drink red wine).
Cornetto dupe - lovely (I've eaten one)
The large sushi tray (had half for lunch) - very good.
Peanut choco (not quite as nice as the original but still good).
Kalamon olives (not tried yet)
Chicken poke bowl - very interested to see what it's like.
Savoury crackers (Ritz-a-like) will have with cheese eventually.
Halloumi and tomatoes (couldn't get beef tomatoes, but will definitely have halloumi and baked tomato as it's one of my favourite meals) - can you cook halloumi slices in the oven or will it just turn into a rubbery frisbee?
Their own sweetener - absolutely fine.
A huge bottle of bleach - will decant to split between the three loos.
Strawberry cheesecakes - the individual ones.
Extra large tissues- getting harder to find these now..
Mini magnum dupes
Large rinse aid (I'm out of it)
A fresh fig 59p which is a good price. I do t have them often but love them.
Salted roast nuts to try.
Sharing bag of beef and ale crisps - sound lovely so I hope the taste is up to the description.
Didn't get the rosemary and olive bread even though it sounds lovely as I have a seeded loaf already, but did buy two petit pains so I can have ham salad rolls.
NOTHING from the Aisle of Joy sadly! - nothing there that appealed or I needed. (I did buy an individual locker on legs a few months back as I was fed up of people nicking my nice pens etc at work).

I'm not too coy to mention their cheapest brandy.

DrCoconut · 24/10/2023 21:06

The Pringle style crisps. They are gluten free if anyone needed to know this.

TommyDeVito · 24/10/2023 21:20

@vipersnest1
i hope you enjoy everything you bought OP 🫒

Vettrianofan · 25/10/2023 06:47

I like their stubbies and use them with lemonade to make shandy as I don't really drink alcohol much at all now. They are perfect.

RoyalImpatience · 25/10/2023 07:16

@Anjelika is it real Greek yoghurt or like it

vipersnest1 · 25/10/2023 09:14

Thanks @TommyDeVito!
